@@kevq761 …..Let’s face it, every other line of Les Dawson’s was comedy, but whenever I go to a wedding, whether the Bride is wearing a Wedding Dress or not, I think of…’She Drifted down the aisle like “An ALP”, & it always makes me giggle. I didn’t really ‘get’ Florrie’s Cream Lagoon”. I assume it was a desert, but i don’t know whether Les was supposed to put his fingers in it or not, & who was Florrie ?

He was from Collyhurst, Manchester (so am I)...the most deprived area in the whole of northern England in the thirties forties fifties and sixties...that why it produced great comedians like les, and Bernard manning...I'm proud to be a Collyhurst lad!

I've just watched this, brilliant performance, on a drizzly, wet, Saturday, afternoon.Its made me cry with, laughter. My eyes as, wet as the, weather, outside. Les, was an entertainer, as well as, a comic.Genuinely,funny, Loved his, descriptive humour, that added a visual, element to reinforce his humour. Sadly missed. Simply brilliant! Jokes, & stories.
