There is something weird about sitting in a house all alone and laughing out loud, it is very rare that my laughter is not internal, but this funny lady takes me to the point of no return, such a skilled talented comedian…. ‘Walter, have you been?’ And ‘ooooh my flabber has been gasted’ gets me every time. 😂😂😂😂

What a star! I've backtracked as I only remembered 'Not on Your Nellie' so have now bought the entire box set of 'Nearest & Dearest' and it's hilarious! If it was shown on ITV again, I'm sure it would be a hit all over again' I've also bought Jean Fergusson's book which was an interesting read, I just wish I'd caught Jean's show!

how shallow we have become...... we pander after "none talents" like Jordan etc when years ago we idolised those with true talent...........they used to be older ( here, I think Hilda was in her 40s/50s ?) imagine that now ? Us , a nation, getting all entertained by those over 40? On the Buses - the lead guys were over 40. Now - we idolise youth & what are they? talentless airheads............bring back the 70s!

so true theres nothing much by the way of good entertainment for older folk ..most pander to the young

The worst thing is older actors always prove popular! Theres not many top rated shows or cult favorites that comprise of a young dumb and pretty cast. Even modern favs, like Vicar of Dibley. Those in charge must not able to put the dots together. Even in somelike like Lost or Desperate hosewives, where it is pretty youthful actors, the fans all love the older charecters (Rose and Karen) and Eastenders wouldn;t be the same without Peggy Dot or Pat!
