The injury rate of DH is very sobering. I never really considered DH a CTE sport, but it absolutely is. I'm concerned for the long-term rider implications with young riders sustaining multiple concussions per season. This before they even reach 20 years old. I suspect the sport is going to have to really address this in the future.

It's very difficult. I don't race anymore but ride every weekend. My wife and I had a great summer but we are both out on the injured list. The sport is also hard on your equipment. I need twice as much TLC for my DH bikes, than my trail bikes.
