Original Bana kin team - vocals :Samba Mapangala [b/leader], Abdalla Madjo Maduley, Pele Ondindia, guitars: Bibiley Kabakaba, Okello Jose, Mwalimu Bedjo Mikombi, Niki Djo, drums: Faustau Temopele wa Roma, tumba: Kasule Mopepe.

batchalinge shitambasi: You are somehow right. The very original Bana Kin line-up was minus Okello Jose and Mwalimu Bedjo. The very original Bana Kin included Zengele Sida o rhythmn guitar
@frederickochieng-odhiambo57086 жыл бұрын
Zengele Saida (ex Bana Ngenge) on rhythm guitar. Okello Jose and Mwalimu Bedjo Mikombi joined later. In their very early recordings the 2 were not yet there, for example, in East Africa, Betty, Lisano. Okello surfaced in Malako after Saida left and Bedjo later in Baboka. With the arrival of Bedjo, Bibiley would therefrom interchange with Bedjo on solo guitar, though Bibiley was versatile in that he was also at home with the rhythm guitar. Pele Ondindia Ekwaki would occasionally play the bass guitar as well. Bana Kin was then a bomb. It is most unfortunate that the group was short-lived due to internal differences revolving round Samba Mapangala and Madjo Maduley Iliko Presto.

The original is always better than Malako disco.It was exciting to watchKasule mopepeo on tumba,samba on vocals,Bibi ley ,okelo were the other singers. Ofcourse this was before he renamed the group virunga.
@jamesgordonjames29987 жыл бұрын
Les Kinois was not re-named but continued under Madjo and Kaba Kaba, independent of Virunga, until 1988. 'Taabu Ya Masikini', 'Mothe Na Fathe' were released long after Samba left Les Kinois. By 1990 Les Kinois was no more as Madjo was leading Orch Zaiken at the then African Heritage on Kenyatta Avenue. Kaba Kaba also formed Bana Motindo or Malembe Stars. The death of Ondindia around 1991-1992 may have sealed the fate of Les Kinois.
