I have to say in the movie Aaron Tervit and Eddie Redmayne OWNED their roles! I have read the Victor Hugo novel and I have to say that Enjolras and Marius were my favorite characters.

Empty Chairs at Empty Tables makes me cry every time I watch it. One of the saddest parts of the film. And I LOVE his delivery in A Heart Full of Love when he says "I'm doing everything all wrong." He is so amazing(:

I love the les miserables movie! Eddie redmaynw did an outstanding job in the movie playing marius! When he sang empty chairs at empty tables that was the moment my life was changed forever by the movie! I think I related so well to the song for just some reason and his performance just took my breath away! I didn't know it was possible to put so much of your heart into a song! Thank you for such a wonderful performance, Eddie Redmayne.

yes, it's the most "awkward" one, like marius is supposed to be. eddie is just the right amount of pureness for this role.

I always hated Marius, but Eddie did such an amazing job portraying the role I found it really hard to hate him. Maybe it was because Nick Jonas was my first Marius... for whatever reason I hated him (Marius) and Eddie has forever changed that!

They used the original cast for that RENT movie, and it freakin' BOMBED at the box office, and it was horrible. You want that to happen to Les Miserables too? You need to understand that things work differently in Hollywood. You need big stars to bring in a large audience. I think the whole cast did an amazing job. They sang with such raw, natural emotion and they didn't try to sound so "pretty" or "belty". They made it more realistic and gritty, just like it should be for a movie like this.

Eddie Redmayne is everything for me ♥ I've watched Les Mis so many times because of Marius/Eddie but after I've seen the movie like 6 times I got also more interested in the other characters.. And in the end when I've also read the book Les Mis is my favorite movie,musical and book well done Eddie Redmayne :)

Oh my god. This made me sob like a baby. At least Eddie survived and was able to bless us all with his incredible rendition of ECAET. His voice was...my vocabulary isn't extensive enough to describe it. I'll just say, he did Victor Hugo justice.

Empty Chairs was wonderful in the movie, just wish the directing had been a little different, the intense close-ups on Marius made the song about him and his own grief, rather than the tragic loss of life of his friends which is what the song is really about. Full marks to Eddie though for the heartfelt rendition :)

Eddie's performance of "Empty Tables Empty Chairs" is amazing. While I love the theater, what he did with this song, and the emotions were so great. Just stunning performance by Eddie. I liked "Cossette" in the film more than is showcased here. I enjoyed Amanda in the role. Didn't care for Russell Crowe though.

I did not care for Crowe in the role. What does that have to do with liking or hating Javert. Many people thought he did a good job. My opinion is that it could have been done better. It is a huge and important role in Les Mis. He couldn't carry it.
