Im not sure if you're the pianist from this video (the name seems to be the same), i'd like to make you a question if i may: Were you improvising during this performance? Because the link to the sheets you used is very different to the actual playing, but you seem to be reading it. I'd like to play your version, but i cant find it!

I just googled "SATB Les Misearbles Medley" and it was the 2nd hit. The cover of the music is blue. Very easy to find... at least on my computer!

Hi Jason. What I played is based on the SATB choir medley of Les Mis, with a lot of improv added. I wish I had the exact arrangement I played, but I was doing a mix of what was there and what I felt. The SATB medley was arranged by Ed Lojeski and is published by Hal Leonard, #08237301.

That's so fantastic! I just purchased a rare find... the Les Mis Piano SOLOS book. It's completely different from the PVG book and has some fabulous chords. I will make sure to post videos of your 2 favourites as soon as I start recording them! How excited must you be for the movie!?! I know I am!

I did this with my high school choir. They absolutely adored singing it. I cut parts and re-wrote the piano interludes as I wasn't happy with some of them, but other than that, it's awesome! Oh I think I might have added a few harmonies to be more authentic to the show. I'm picky that way though, the original arrangement is quite good.

Funny you say that...the transitions were written in as it is a medley written for a highschool aged choir. I've wanted to make them smoother myself! Sometimes it's harder when each song is so different and the keys are so apart from each other.

I suppose the main difference is that the the piece does not allow for a certain vocal improvisation, especially in timing, that you get when it is sung in the West End.

It would be fun to accompany. I pretty much know the whole musical. I listened to the CD while I did homework in junior hi, too. I know one comment asked about the "score." I guess opera is more like a refined version of regular music like musical theater. I just don't understand why they never sing in a speaking range because that probably makes music like musical theater and church music what it is.

each piece is beautiful in itself, and you are a wonderful pianists, but I feel like as a medley, needs some smoother transitions, because it sounds more like it's switching songs randomly instead of easing from one song to the next.

This is so beautiful :) There are a few medleys of Les Mis on you tube - and admittedly I don't think that yours is the best due to the lack of variety in the songs (others I have seen play 8-10 songs. Now I understand, that you may not have wanted to and that is ok, Because the ones you do play are fantastic!! Perfect harmony's/chords and melody lines that correspond to each other with precision. I personally love "Do You Hear The People Sing" Well Done, I love your piano skills and technique!
