IDK if you were going for a Gary Moore kind of tone and playing style, but you totally nailed it. The tone and sustain are amazing, and your playing is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed these blues riffs.

It should cuz the Duncan 59's were wound on the exact same machine that Gibson used to do the 59's for the 59 Les Paul back in the day! Seymour bought those old Gibson winding machines!

Now one of my favorite blues pieces - ever!! Does it have a name (other than the above), and how would one get their hands on the written music and the backing track? Fabulous and mesmerizing - truly...

Best 4:06 minutes of my day. Hey Clint - I have been messing around with the DigiTech Freakout pedal. This thing is a ton of fun. If you try it use a seperate power supply to get the most out of it. If you want good feedback and sustain in your recording this may be just what you need if you dont have anything like that on the Helix. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND THE 10K SUBS!

Killer tone and play, congratulations....this weekend will change my jb for a 59 bridge in my les paul with 59 neck... i look better cleans and more vintage sound in bridge position than with the jb... I hope I'm not wrong!! what do you think?

And also how did you turn blue? I've been trying to turn green since I watched the Incredible Hulk as a little boy. Still haven't yet.

which speakers do you use i like the 59 in combination with vintage 30 style speakers
@chikobaya50313 жыл бұрын
killer les paul, and playing. Beside the pickups, did you replace the electronics too?
@twowaymuir2 жыл бұрын
Sounds pretty good, but all of your stuff does. All said and done would you recommend these pickups for blues, jazz, and rock as a set ? Clint are you playing though an amp or stomp boxes etc. for this video? Thinking of replacing the 57 pickups in the EART Headless W2 with something a bit better.
@lexluth12 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Do think these pickups would sound good in a Epiphone Dot?

I haven’t had it long enough yet, but so far the neck pickup is really getting my attention more than the bridge. I need more time with it

Hi Clint, how do you find the '59s compared to the Tonerider AC IV pickups? Which would be best for classic rock?
@ClintCurtis3 жыл бұрын
I have a quick comparison video coming on that. The Ton Riders hold up very well to the 59's. I haven't enough time yet with them to say, but both work extremely well for classic rock.
@dharmaindranramasamy38473 жыл бұрын
Wow.. very tastefully done Clint. Can you tell us more on the setup. As in are these the generic Seymour 59 on both bridge/neck. Are you using anything between guitar and amp? That sustain tho.. wow!!
@ClintCurtis3 жыл бұрын
Yes they are stock 59's, and I'm using the Line 6 Helix for all the tones!
@ARsAndGlocksOhMy3 жыл бұрын
@@ClintCurtis I would love to know the Helix amp/cab settings. Sounds amazing!! I was here to check out the pick ups for my Les Paul, but I also have a Helix. Thanks, and awesome skills!
