I'M BACK!!!! This was so so bittersweet! Keone and Mari killed it!! Larry owned the stage and Laurent owned that chair. I loved all of this, both performances!

A lot of people saw this story in different way. The way I saw it Larry was playing laurent's past self and laurent played his present state, which is him in a wheelchair. Laurent is now concerned because he feels like his destiny is uncertain since he can't dance anymore and he is worried on how he will make money. Larry(past laurent) is kinda enjoying himself and living well when Laurent comes to him. At first he doesn't realize that it's him until they did that glitch thing around like 15:24-15:25, then Larry(past laurent) is telling laurent to not worry so much and just let go, he pushes laurent out of the chair, which kinda told him to just get up and dance. This was really hard to put in words but I hope you get what I'm trying to say lol. I also saw the rich and poor thing at first, but after watching this dance like a hundred times, I could see different storylines, It's amazing how they can just tell different stories with their dance. LOVED YOUR REACTION!!!

I had a different take on it when I saw it. I took it as them being themselves. Larry continues to thrive dancing on his own while Laurent falls into depression and poverty from not being able to live off of dancing anymore. Larry doesn't recognize him at first assuming he's just another homeless person then realizes it's his brother when they glitch at the same time like you said. Then Larry takes him out the wheelchair to prove he can still dance even with one leg by doing one of his signature floor moves that only takes one leg regardless. I think if they wanted to make it a past Laurent vs current Laurent thing it would have been more obvious by having Larry wear Laurent's style of clothing.

Boy have I missed your face, welcome back! Outside of the trouble with your ears, glad you enjoyed your vacay. This particular episode was an emotional rollercoaster. I definitely think it was different versions of the same guy, specifically from the moment Larry walked up & appeared to have a flashback. In a recent interview, Lau said that they changed the choreo right before going on stage once they saw Keone & Mari get the 100 from Ne-Yo, which was wild crazy that they practically had no real rehearsal beforehand to pull that off.

Had to figure out which interview it was since they've been doing so much press lately. It was the interview before their NJ workshop last weekend, which unfortunately was on IG Live when I saw Lau mention the choreo switch up. As soon as they release the video of the interview from the workshop, I'll link it for you. Also, you asked about unedited performances from the show... The official NBC WOD channel has been releasing unedited versions of performances from the show every Tuesday, but they've yet to release one from Les Twins. Hopefully they'll release every single one their performances unedited.

As soon as Ne-Yo's score of 100 was revealed you can see in Jlo's face, she has an agenda. If you think about the score difference Derek: 95-95 so he thinks they are equally good Ne-yo: 100 - 99 he is generous but he only gave 1 point deduction to the twins. But for Jlo to go from 90 - 99? You telling me the set where they barely danced, most of it is acting when the competition is about dancing, that short ending where they actually danced is 9 points more than Keone and Mari's full dance routine? Just listen how petty Jlo's comment to Ne-Yo.

I think that what makes this competition work is that they aren't judged against one another...b/c how can you compare apples to oranges to bananas? I mean, yes, but I've barely seen any of the other contestants' performances so once I do I'll reevaluate 😊 For this performance specifically I may have to watch again lol

I'm sure there were producers and NBC execs that had some say in how everything played out (I'm sure that's true of any network competition show) so it probably didn't only come down to the actual judging (unless JLo has waaay more pull than I realize). But they didn't have to give them the best score in essentially every episode to do that, so to me they did at least that well. And I'll admit there's things about dance that I don't fully grasp. I watch other dancers freak out at moves (by LT or anyone) and I have to rewatch to completely understand & appreciate the skill involved. So I'm assuming there's things the judges could see in each performance that I couldn't (again I haven't watched all the other performances). The only reason I can think of that they'd plan from the beginning to have Les Twins win, or at least be definitely in the final, would be ratings. But the whole thing was filmed before they knew how many viewers LT would bring in (they could probably sort of guess by views on KZbin, but the other dancers have followers too). I'm not arguing that it was or wasn't, we probably won't ever know, but I don't think Les Twins would have competed in a rigged competition if they were at all aware of it. That's not their style at all.
