It is great to see a talented artist, and hear her for real (no lip syncing) and a band that is really playing. It is also great to hear her, rather than the double-voiced studio version (if you never noticed, listen to her studio version and you will hear her voice is doubled). The studio version is very good. But it is nice to be able to hear a person's natural voice, too. I wonder where the event took place. The folks in the front row had $million seats, and did not realize it. Imagine having seats to a great artist that is just inches away from you -- no longer an option these days.

I came from Melanie when she released Pity Party and now I have all of Leslie's albums on Spotify, I became obsessed. Sucks that she's so underrated, in my country nobody knew her until other singers started making versions of her songs... Anyways, thank you Mel for introducing me to this classy and wonderful lady.

I was a kid in the 70's with my daddy and sister played this in our VW and the song"Johnny angel" and my sister told me all the girls loved my dad and had to write songs with his name Johnny . haha.. I lost my daddy and sister now and miss them both so much. I love the memories of these songs.

When I was a kid I remember hearing this song cuz an adult around me was listening to it, and I thought it was cheesy. Now that I'm an adult hearing it, I realize it's actually a very catchy song with good rhythm and makes you bop your head. When you're a kid you don't appreciate things as much.

She's a teenager and has such a powerful voice. Great song, the record was produced by Quincy Jones. This version was released before a version Phil Spector had recorded with the Crystals. Quincy found out about the other version directly from Phil and stepped up the release of Lesley's version which was a massive No1 on the Billboard Hot 100
