@@BDubbyy i hope you know abuse cycles are a very real thing and happens in many relationships even friends can be toxic as such making fun of you, ridiculing your interests, purposefully inviting everyone but you, telling your private matters to others, embarrassing you in front of others on purpose and when you voice how their actions are affecting you, they’ll say things to diminish you or to make you feel guilty for speaking up such as giving you the silent treatment or responding with things such as “it’s just a joke, stop being so sensitive” or “stop overthinking it, you’re so paranoid” oftentimes abusive people will cycle between being abusive and caring the constant change of behaviors don’t allow the victim to feel stable at any point of the relationship, causing more doubt if it’s always horrible and abusive, most people will leave that’s why abusive people will give a moment of relief where they’re incredibly caring and nurturing of the victim and it will make the victim believe that things are getting better and will continue to get better, making them more likely to stay and continue that cycle of abuse

I know people are only human and I know people like Leslie want to look on the bright side... and PC CULTURE does NOT help with this kind of thinking, but.... people NEED to be selfish and unapologetic in their relationships. I'm not saying people should act like they're gods gift etc etc and decide to be entitled, but if you find yourself apologizing for your personality... then something is an issue. Assuming your personality isn't trauma related, there should be NOTHING you need to say sorry for. If anything, you need to find a partner that can accept you for who you are and live your best life, striving to be a better you. If you dont know where to start, just take it one step at a time and find little victories, small chores that lead to long term peace of mind. Maybe go for a walk or small workouts to extend your energy.
