So I have been watching your videos for about 1-1/2 years now and just subscribed to your channel. Since this episode, I decided to go back to the beginning, and I have been binging for the past week. Since covid I lost my desire to knit but since watching you I have decided to get my needles back out. I just purchased your butterfly blanket and have been working on that while watching your episodes. Thank you for inspiring me to get back at it. I love all your sweaters and I love that you share them with us. Thank you again for putting that knitting spark back in me. ❤

Hi Leslie! I have been working on socks for Christmas. I wanted a break so I started the Bean and Olive sweater for my youngest great granddaughter. I am hoping to make all 3 girls this pattern in their favorite colors also for Christmas. I love your Ranunculus and definitely need to make another. You have inspired me as I love Berocco Vintage yarn. ❤

Love your new Ranunculus sweater! Also, I can relate to your needlepoint dilemma…I also enjoy cross stitching and I purchased 2 Christmas Stocking kits for my grandkids at least 3 years ago, but i rather knit so they were never starter. This year, I decided to bring them to Greece (i spend the summers here) with me and force myself to work on them, I;m so glad I did because I had forgotten how much I enjoy cross stitching. Anyway, looking forward to your next episode!

Aarrrgh! Leslie, I had finally decided I was NOT going to make a Ranunculus but you have changed my mind (again!). 😊 I have just finished the Homebody Sweater in time for our 3 month caravan trip into Outback Australia. I have yarn with me and plan to make a Fall Cuddler Throw Blanket to use around the campfire. ❤😊

Thanks for sharing your knits and your Irish adventures. Your projects are so beautiful and they always look fantastic on you. I am heading to the UK soon and so am preparing my knitting by completing two sweater yokes (Sea Haven and Yule Do). My plan is to get to the easy stockinette parts by the time we leave and have completed sweaters to wear while travelling…..we’ll see if that happens!

Loving that Ranunculus! Yarn? Wondering fast forward how it is wearing? Curious as you mention the “growing” factor. Just another beauty you are wearing. ( hint hint would love the style videos of more of your handknits)…. So good! We went to Ireland and loved Jim got to golf the old course at st. Andrew’s. We then traveled into Scotland and were able to stay with our dear friends at Skibo ( the Carnegie Club)…and Jim golfed several of the courses nearby. That country is so beautiful. Have fun on your travels…. So lucky! Thank you for today.

Lovely Ranunculus and great colour on you! Loving knitting Nile cardi by Isabell Kraemer. Put this aside for a while in the spring to do another 2 projects and forgot how much fun the texture knitting was! Going to Ireland in October for a knitting tour/retreat with Trips for Knitters and think I’m going to some of the same areas that you visited. Trying to decide what knitting to take as I’m just taking carry-on luggage. Being a sweater knitter, I’d like to take a sweater to knit but time will tell. I have yarn for Nancy’s Vest by Carol Sunday but it may be a little much to knit for travel?! It’s knit all in one piece but while travelling, trying to ensure a good fit / length etc as I usually do modifications may be a challenge? Thanks for another super podcast!

Leslie, I so enjoyed watching this today, as I am recovering from he “flu”, and you made me smile so big with your story about the driverless carriage!!! I know it must have been frightening but the way you told it was delightful. The music at the end is just wonderful. You are such a joy to listen to and watch. Question, maybe I missed it, but what was that lavender/thistle colored yarn for? And what brand of yarn. I love that color lately. Enjoy your trip to Tahoe!

Currently making v neck Lauder cardigan by Rebecca Clow. Funny, I can only knit English style looking at my work but can continental without watching. We did a tour of Ireland in May - magical, stunning and the nicest people! I learned that the wool from the Irish sheep is quite coarse so most of those sheep you see are raised for meat - grass fed! I bought yarn at a store in Dublin ( Danish!) and Studio Donegal at a shop in Galway. But the hand knit sweaters in stores were gorgeous. I’m also a needlepointer and just finished my 5 th Christmas stocking - for grandchild #5! I am fortunate to have a stitching group that meets once a week to keep me on track as I’d rather be knitting too!

Finishing up Morning Sky. The pattern instructs you to recheck row gauge (knitting bottom up) as you start the yoke & add/subtract rows so the yoke is the correct size. First time seeing that, and appreciated! The Irish trip looks wonderful! There are knitting tours of Ireland, and yes, they do have yarn shops.

Loved hearing about the history of the Aran sweaters, so interesting. Currently working on the Ellie Shirt by Rust Knitwear. Very interesting and fun knit. it is knit in a broken rib. I also knit both continental and english style however I switch back and forth in the same project, don't want to be a slave to my project since continental is so much faster for me. Hoping if any challenges will all get washed out in the blocking, so far it all looks good.

Every year I make about 20 pairs of children’s mittens to take to a school here. Teachers say kids come without mittens on cold winter days, for whatever reason, and they can then give the child a pair to wear and keep. It’s good for them and keeps my arthritic hands busy and less painful. I am also working on an afghan. This is the third time making this pattern. I’ve given the other two away but will keep this one, I think. Love your sweaters. May have to make a Ranunculus some time. Haven’t made a sweater in awhile. I enjoy smaller projects like fingerless mitts for friends or myself and the mittens. I’ve been to Ireland and have ridden in the jaunting carts. Can’t imagine having the horse take off without a driver! Yikes!! Glad you survived that experience.

Ripping out the back of my tessellated vest (Andrea Mowery). Somehow I managed not to do any of the arm hole shaping 😮 That’s ok, I can re do it (after leaving it in time out for this summer). I am super bummed that summer is over. I have 5 kids I’m homeschooling this year and I just don’t want to start school, we have had too much fun. I loved seeing your pictures from Ireland! That is a crazy story about the pony cart!!! I would love to test knit your vest, and I will certainly be purchasing it as soon as it comes out!

Loved seeing your needlepoint in progress. I enjoy the change of pace that needlepoint brings amid weeks of knitting.Take a look at the canvas "Wild Boars" by Birds of a Feather, SKU #AS719, which I'm planning to stitch at some point. I'm drawn to the devilish mood of those boars in the woods.

We went on a Viking cruise from Prague to Berlin with 5 other couples from our church and had a blast . I did buy yarn when we also went to Vienna at the beginning of our trip and the women who owned the yarn shop was delightful!! I am knitting the Mudo sweater by the Petite Knitter and also the Felix pullover. Im so addicted to knitting in this season of my life and your have been a huge inspiration for me! Im also getting ready to knit a cardigan for my 10 mos old granddaughter who lives in Pittsburgh. Thanks so much Leslie for your wonderful presence here!!❤

Dear friend Leslie, this was another amusing and inspiring episode. Your Ranunculus suits you extremely well. And you're right, everyone should have a Ranunculus as they are very comfortable to wear. I have one in dark red and love it very much. During your podcast, the screen always blurs as your lively stories progress, until I get the feeling that you are sitting in front of me with a cup of coffee. Very funny. This effect is actually enhanced by live knitting. Hugs, your knitting friend Heike

Talk about serendipity!!! A very good friend has a birthday coming up, and he asked me to needlepoint smth for him. I've knit and crocheted gifts for him, so this was an interesting request -- especially as I used to needlepoint when I was younger and haven't thought about it since. ANYWAY I was delighted to see your and your sister's needlepoint projects, so thank you for showing them and for adding the kit information.

Hello lovely, love that ranunculus 🥰 colour is superb! Ha ha the jaunting carriage ride 🤭 don’t worry even many Irish people don’t understand those drivers, some areas (like in Kerry) the accent is sooooo thick. Dad is from Limerick and my son, his fiancé and mum and dad were doing the falconry thing last month too! It’s a fun country ☘️ Thanks for sharing, enjoy your next adventure 💕
