This came out good! The Midnight was the first synth band I’ve listened a whole album to, which is uncommon for me. I see what you meant when you had to change the key of the cover, and I respect that. It gives off a nice tune one listens at night. Great job on singing/making the cover. Cant wait for the second cover you have cooking for us!

Love it. I can totally see this being the intro song to a Noir-style detective show, set in this proto-futuristic New York. Most episodes act as stand alone stories, you know standard stuff: It’s midnight in the city that never sleeps, and our detective is standing in his smoking room, a cigarette in one hand, the other in his pocket as he looks over the city… or at least, what he can see. His apartment block barely reaches a quarter of the towering skyscrapers dominating this diseased cities skyline. There’s a nock at the door, and he turns to answer. It’s the same story every time, someone seeking justice, in the city of lies, he has grown used to it over the years. And then, by the end of the episode the mystery is revealed. However, some of them, whether they be season endings or just special arcs will be longer, multi-episode mysteries.

You never disappoint me, you always have something amazing to write 💜 You know, I think I connected much more with this story along with the song, because I always listen to Shadows at night, and when it rains I feel the same, of course I'm not the detective, but your story is the same as what I experience when I listen to this song 🤧 Thanks, for once again bringing a great story and this time it hit me very hard 💜
