I grew up in Tucson Arizona in the 50's as a kid. There were more Horses tied up to hitching post on main street than cars parked back then. My Heroes have always been Cowboys.... Cowpokes.

man growing up in northern remote canada when i go one town over this still rings true. I look up to them boys round here. Only difference is its sled dogs for half the year.

And he is a real cow poke... So many great Western/Americana/old style outlaw country out there these days. Sierra Ferrell, Benjamin Tod, Willi Carlisle, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Vincent Neil Emerson, and on and on.

Hey dude, this is the first of your videos I've seen. Awesome reaction to Colter, and happy this was your first exposure to him. Fantastic song. You gotta check out his most popular songs from his first album, "Sleeping on the Blacktop" and "The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie" and keep in mind he was 19 when he recorded those tracks. He was 25 when this was recorded.

What I like about Colter Wall is that he comes across as totally genuine and that his songs are coming from the heart. They may be totally fictional but he delivers from the heart anyway.

He works on his ranch for half the year. This particular song is not an original but he also writes his own music. Insanely talented.

Best part is he’s actually a cowboy.

Colter Wall is the walking middle finger to auto tune. He a number of great songs! Brings me back to yesterdays.
@jaquanvs3 ай бұрын
he’s in the country genre, autotune isn’t used within country or folk music. so for him to be the walking middle finger to auto tune doesn’t make much sense.

@@jaquanvs Faith Hill, Shania Twain and Tim McGraw are just a few examples of country stars that use auto tune. research, its not just for school children.

Big country fan here, but this version of colter is awful. The kate mccannon and devil wears a suit and tie colter is leaps and bounds better in every way

Awful huh? By no means is this “awful” his new style is higher in pitch but sounds better. Imaginary Appalachia was great on that we’d agree, still this isn’t awful.
