Prince Mashele makes a great point - when the Afrikaners came to power their people were poorer than many blacks but a government that cared about poverty helped them out of poverty through starting SOE's & supporting afrikaner business. Black leaders are more interested in getting rich than helping us in the townships

@@lm_b5080 unfortunately this lack of identity and self respect comes from the so called black leaders of this European system of democracy. It is for the above reason that the people of the Zulu nation have never recognised this ANC government, as their true leaders. South Africa used to have great thinkers and fighters during apartheid and COSATU was one of those. What I like about the EFF is that it has taken all these great policies, and manifestos, incorporated them in the 7 pillars. SACP, COSATU, FREEDOM CHARTER, PAC, BLACK CONSCIOUSNESS etc. All included.

Beautiful conversation, but Mr. Vavi should avoid using Apartheid-era South Africa as a yard stick for democratic progress. Apartheid was a crime against humanity, and referencing it this way it's tantamount to legitimizing that horrible system. It's akin to comparing modern American democracy to the era of slavery.
