no, as the centre of pressure (Ft) is acting closer to Ax than Bx. The Centre of Pressure is the point at which the hydrostatic force acts, basically where all the pressure of the water is said to act.

Also, why do you use the trapezoidal distributed load instead of just using the triangular distributed load at the gate, since the gate is not flushed with the wall?

no, sum of forces in the y=0 and there are no others

there is at B, but A is a pin. The one at B is 0 since the sum of forces in the Y has to be 0.
