got this to fit in a 00' F150. that was alotta fun. But worth it, I love this head unit. Glad I shelled out the extra 30 bucks for this model with the bluetooth, now I can listen to my music loud without worrying about missing phone calls. Knew that voice was familiar! Thanks a bunch man, not only was this the video that helped me decide to choose this head unit, but your other video on crimping the wires to a harness helped me out alot too.

hiv rattlesnake it probably won't clear the inner entrance like mine so if it doesn't, you first gotta trim off just enough (around a quarter inch) plastic from the top with a little power saw or something. Then it will just slip right in.

I just put one in my '03 Jetta, and I have to admit that it sounds good. Added a single 12 in. sub pushed by a 1000 watt amp and I'm "knockin" real hard.

Just installed this in my 97 Mountaineer. Some things I've observed: Mixtrax is only designed to work with the USB input. Kind of a bummer as I'll be using bluetooth with my android phone most of the time. I was able to sync bluetooth with my andriod with absolutely no problems. Played pandora through my phone, saw the song info on the head unit, and got a call that interrupted the song and successfully went back to the song once the call was over. Perfect! Also lets you know who is calling on the head unit which is boss. Does not fit perfectly in 1st gen mountaineers / 2nd gen explorers without shaving off some of the plastic on the console. I used some pliers to rip through about a centimeter of hard plastic on the top and bottom sides of my console to make it fit. Great head unit. Just again know if you are buying it for the light show make sure you are aware that to get the most features you'll need to have a USB chord plugged in.

Just got this in my 05 jetta. Seems nice and the colors are pretty cool. Wish you could turn them off but either way the stereo provides good music quality.

With the bluetooth, you can have pandora stream wirelessly from any phone, android or iphone. Heck if you have a tablet or even a windows phone with bluetooth you can stream it wirelessly to this system. Just need to have the device connected with the source on the reciever set to BT Audio.

BUT OH MAN!!! that thing looks awesome :D I just had an idea that it would be nice to get some random led pioneer or something when I'm gonna buy my first car (BMW E36) and I saw this for 119€ the cheaper model from this one, and I just kept staring the freaking thing... :P too bad it dosen't fit in the E36's dash unless you don't modify it. But I think I'm gonna buy an pioneer 100W unit with some speakers that can take over 100W... Does a 50W and 100W pioneer have a big difference btw and can you tell the diff by sound?

Ive had problems with mine, whenever i start my car, it automatically resets all the settings i have changed (it factory restores when i turn on my car it starts demo again and is really annoying to turn off everytime i turn my car one)

aside from subarus being gay as hell. the only way you know it will fit is if you web search it. go to crutchfield theyll hook you up with everything youll need for a great price. i just installed mine and the harness it came with had a wire that said for subaru only. so no this doesnt completely insure that itll fit but your chances are a lot greater improved.
