I fell in love with this when I saw it in the late 90’s thanks to Vogue Arabia I was able to bump into this. I want to find out you sang for this film! The first one sounds like a song of Umm Kulsum.

The second song , was considered back than the anthem of the Tunisian resistance , and our country freedom fighter against French colonialism . Tunisia was forcibly put under French protectorate system for 80 years , wich is a colonial system the main reason for that is the corruption of the tunisian government and the Royal family that basically gave tunisia away to France in order to keep their status after they went bankrupt . The actress is basically playing the role of an Illegitimate tunisian princess she was asked to sing during a Royal wedding she started singing for "umm koulthoum" than decided to change the song and sing the resistance anthem wich made all the aristocrats and Royal family uncomfortable , the words are roasting them for their betrayal to the land and people of tunisia . Am sorry I tried to search the original anthem on youtube and couldn't find it .
