OMG, the LEGEND herself!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been following your journey (past vids of course) so closely because your weight history is soooooo similar to my own! You gave me courage to get VSG 5 mths ago and I've lost about 138 lbs (from HW, 102.5 lbs since surgery), about 95 to go! I have an iron deficiency right now actually, how appropo. Anyway the doc and NUT are on it. I just love you and as a fellow Canadian, so much respect to you!!!

Nice to see you Sarah! I was exactly the same at 4 years post VSG. I went in for an iron infusion and didn't even bother with the iron tablets. Within a week I felt sooooo much better. I am actually keen for another one but need to get my bloods done again to see how much it went up. Orange juice while eating meat can help you absorb it better (which is obviously hard for us) and no coffee an hour before eating iron helps to.

Yep. Number one rule. Bloodwork twice a year. Also switch to Feramax or proferrin. Better irons.

Hi Sarah! I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I did too. I was about 3 1/2 years out when I found out about my iron deficiency. I was feeling the SAME way. So tired, no energy, weak, out of breath, shaky, at times I felt like my legs wouldn't even hold me up. I finally went and ended up having to get infusions (3 in about 2 weeks). It's been an year and a half and all is well so far. Now that we know what those symptoms feel like hopefully we can stave it off if it ever does come around again. Glad that you are feeling better and thanks for sharing! Take care.

Hi! Thanks for sharing. I’m 3 1/2 yrs out, I didn’t know it could happen far out from surgery. I used to be on nexium (40 mg per day for 10ish years). One side effect that made me nervous was the depletion of bone density. I wish you healing thoughts ♥️
