Sormeh is taken from Turkish language Kohl is English word Nil or Nile (river) like نیل is used for Surmeh in old Persian language

Great connections made! Just wanted to make a clarification about the word aftabeh. aftabeh may sound like aftab but it has nothing to do with it. The correct and original word used to be abtabeh [ab (water) + tabeh (pot)] but overtime in informal speech it changed into aftabeh.
