So brainstorming, as one of the three (graphic organizers and outlining) techniques used for selecting and organizing information for writing, is a subset of the outlining process? Or does it have special purpose as discussed in your previous videos about brainstorming and graphic organizers?

Is it necessary to have 2 subordinate ideas for the first main idea, while the second main idea has 3 subordinate ideas? Thank you po!

Each main idea needs to have at least two subordinate ones. That’s the basic rule. As for the number of subordinate ideas per main idea, it’s up to you and the content you’ll be discussing. Some may require you to provide more information. ☺️
