I did this stitch years ago for Pot Holders. I never knew what the stitch was called and came across your video about the Thermal Sc. It does make a very thick stitch for handling hot pots. For the last row, I didn’t pick up the 3-stitches like you did. Instead I worked into the 2-stitches as usual but I did a Slip Stitch. At the end of the row, I would chain 15, connect to beginning stitch, slip stitch around the chains to hang up the Pot Holder. So glad I came across your video. At 76, I can still learn something new.

Never heard of this before. I made a bag and it stretched so much, I don't use it any more. So my next bag, I'll be using this stitch all around! Thanks for sharing. Good to see you back again. ❤

I have been crocheting 42 years and never heard of this stitch. There is another way to do sc that makes it denser. Not sure what its called, but you do a yarn under before pulling through instead of yarn over. It creats a more compact stitch with an "x" design.

Going to Vegas in dec and was about to start a hat. I’m fairly new to crocheting. I want to do the messy bun beanie so I hope I can figure it out. Any tips?
