This stitch is RIDICULOUSLY easy!! I want to make a sweater with it very much

Ashley, thanks for another terrific tutorial. I really love the fabric that this stitch makes. You can get away from the horizontal look of the stitches, and the fabric is very fluid. Cannot wait for more tutorials on Tunisian crochet. That scarf is going to be simply gorgeous.

This looks so nice. Ever since I learned to do the long-tail cast-on for crochet though, that's what I use to avoid long flimsy chains!

Thank you so much for osting rhis tutorial. ❤ I found this stitch in a very old stitch dictionary with incomplete instructions. It didn't bother to tell me to alternate the skipped stitches and the work kept skewing either to the right or to the left, depending on which end I skipped the stitch. Alternating makes so much sense! You have saved me a lot of frustration trying to figure it out on my own.

Hi can I please ask, how can I keep track of what row I'm on? If I get distracted, or put my work down, how can I tell whether the previous row was 1st or 2nd st to start? Thanks.
@HeartHookHome Жыл бұрын
You could place a stitch marker on a row with a "1st space" start, and move it up every time you complete that same start row.

How do you make bigger things that would be wider than a crochet hook?
@HeartHookHome9 ай бұрын
For larger/wider items you will want to get a set of cabled tunisian hooks.

Very good tutorial. I have a pattern for a Tunisian blanket but couldn't quite understand exactly what I was supposed to be doing until I watched your tutorial. Thank you so much!

Wonderful tutorial, made the stitch very easy. In the blanket that you quickly showed at the end, what stitch did you use to finish off the edges, and if this stitch rolls, is there a recommended stitch to stop the rolling?

Your tutorial was great. Thanks for sharing. May I ask the brand name of the hook you used? Do you sell them?

Hi Ashly, do you think it’s possible to implement this stitch on the hibernation hoodie?

Can you explain the anatomy of the first stitch in the forward pass.? How to recognize whether to skip the first space or insert into the first space. I find when I put my work down and come back to it I have a hard time knowing whether to work the first space or not

How many stitches can you put on crochet hook, they are not very long?
@HeartHookHome Жыл бұрын
If using a regular crochet hook, not that many. With most tunisian projects you will need a tunisian hook (also called afghan hooks) which are longer and can accommodate more stitches. I have made a 36" baby blanket with stick tunisian hook. There are also cabled tunisian hooks which can be used for much bigger tunisian projects. I do have a tunisian hook guide which can be found here: hearthookhome.com/tunisian-crochet-hooks-guide/

What size hook do I use 😳🙄

Ok...Ive never done this type of crocheting before. So please excuse my question if "stupid". Can someone explain how to do this pattern for a baby blanket? Thank you very much!!❤

if you mean how do you do bigger pieces/more stitches: there's crochet hooks with extensions on them, like a long piece of wire with a stopper at the end so the stitches don't slide off. So that way you could do a way longer chain without running out of space on the hook. :)
