Thank you for this melodic Bee Gee high pitch song, there’s also another Bee Gees song that would fit into your great guitar teaching Love Me, a real underrated number from the Gibbs Brother 😊

This is also one of my favorite Bee Gees songs. And I love a lot of their songs, but, this is definitely in my top three favorites of theirs. It could be number one. I also love Run To Me by them and have played that song on the guitar for many years. Love So Right is right up there, as well.

Thank you brother....I have always loved this song and for the life of me have never ever played it. I have played guitar for years. Churned upside down since its release to learn from the production parts of the song. Now I can play it thanks to your easy follow way of teaching. Those chords, that melody, that sound, those harmonies. As a producer myself we know, strong musicality with immense backing vocals...marry those two elements with a story to be told and boom!!!! Just like the song we love....Kia ora from New Zealand.

Absolutely outstanding rendition and tutorial once again, Dave. Please keep them coming....there were a ton of great tunes and lyrical compositions that aired during that time period and the Gibb Brothers were certainly a great part of that music. Fascinating thing to me was that Barry Gibb often used open tuning to create lush guitar harmony and embellished chords while singing lead on so many Bee Gee hits. Those guys don't get enough credit for their "musicality" IMHO. But, kudos to you, and thanks as always.

@@waelomar7065 Thank you. Great to hear from Egypt. Do you enjoy guitar?

@@petewentz3528 thank you, yes I enjoy the guitar very much, particularly when trying learning how to play some of the Bee Gees songs which is not as easy as I thought, on the contrary very hard for a beginner like myself, now I am learning their peace of magic "too much heaven"

Wow, Dave, you really crushed this! Your percussive strumming is spot on, too. This made my night, and I'm gonna work on it in the morning. I listened to the Main Course album at least 5 times today, and this song, probably 20 times.

Dave - could you do a full play thru of this and perhaps b roll the video with the chords as tab? It would be very appreciated as this is absolutely the very best I have seen this played and I am trying to learn your method but some of the chords are not easy to figure out from the video. Thank you.

Fantastic! Can you also do this in the original open E tuning?
@davelelonek3 жыл бұрын
Honestly this is the best way I’ve seen this played especially since no capo. As a suggestion it would be great if you played this thru and also put up the chord forms as I had a hard time figuring them out.

wonderful and as how you explain and detail..It is amazing in how the Bee Gees figured out 2 guitars..sounds trivial or my inability to understand...how were they guided for the 2 guitars playing?
@bmoore58683 жыл бұрын
the original lyric was "Love Be Tender with my Fanny" but the producer suggested a rework... seriously though love this tune and Love So Right by them in their early era

The overlayed harmonies are complicated in this great song, I doubt it was played in live performance.I have seen them live and never heard it.

This song was never played live due to complexities only capable in studio. Dave you are quite kind in teaching but not knowing the lyrics is killing me because of confusion
