Use the left hand to conduct? I'm left handed but I was taught that I had to use my right hand to conduct. Of course now after 60 years I can only conduct with the right. Great video.

Now I'm confused. I went to a "one time" conducting course and they started with teaching me how to conduct with both hands at the same time, literally the thing he said not to do... So?

@@gammafoxlore2981 What I can say is that conductors who are pianists themselves are considered by piano soloists to be more piano-friendly, as in giving them eye contact and cues.

This site is not for left-handed conductors. Believe me, there are [were] several great ones about. Take the late Elmer Bernstein and the current Paavo Berglund.
