This was Smitty’s goal @main_character_jiujitsu to get and then go for a Prone Armbar finish. Close but no cigar.

I remember post fight interview I told people I respected him for getting away from my submissions. I really meant that because now I refined my technique. Getting better ultimately is all I care about
Smitty is the type to learn from his mistakes. And after missing the opportunity Smitty went back to the lab to study what did he do wrong. It’s all part of the game. Film study yourself and clean it up for next time.
