Lesson one: Teaching our Jr Stallion Prospect aka TRUCK how to be respectful through ground work..

SWISHERS HEAVY HAUL aka TRUCKs first complete ground working lesson. TRUCK is our up n' coming 3yr old stallion prospect. TRUCK is by our senior stallion, SWISHER HANCOCK and out of W BECKY SUE HANCOCK. TRUCK is a line bred BLUE VALENTINE - JOE HANCOCK quarter horse.

Today TRUCK is being taught how to stand still while the rope is being tossed all over his body. Watch for signs of learning which are licking his lips and cocking of his hind legs. TRUCK has a very kind eye and is a quick learner. He also learned how to back up by wiggling the rope and to come back up when bowed to. This lesson was the beginning of his foundation work. Being a stallion, he must learn to respect us. Teaching him how to respect our space is very important. TRUCK took everything taught to him today very well. Each lesson afterwards will just re-enforce what he learned today.
