So glad I stumbled on this older video today. Such a blessing, Joni. Coming out the other side of Stage 2 breast cancer. Had the whole shebang…5 months chemo, double mastectomy, 25 rounds of radiation, reconstructive surgery followed by 5 days in the hospital from an infection. God HAS been faithful and “ever present in a time of trouble.”

My cousin's daughter did the same thing at 18 years of age, broke her neck and that was over 10 years ago. She dove in 3 feet of water. You have been her inspiration. She has been mine. Really needed this message. I am a caregiver to my 40 year old son with a form of Parkinson's that is severe and progressive and in only four years has robbed him of his mobility and left him withering in excruciating pain - thank you Joni for being a beacon of light in my darkness

I too was hit with a fast and demobilizing form of pd four years ago. Sent me to a wheelchair within a year. Was immobile for 1.5 years got out of the chair with levodopa but got my strength back with adding the B1 therapy. Google Parkinson’s and the B1 Therapy.

Hi Joni, thank you for your encouraging word❤ I was diagnosed with leukemia July 2023. It was a shock. The chemo has been debilitating. I have an excellent care team, a very supportive husband. and Jesus is walking me thru this. What a wonderful opportunity to share my faith. The medication is doing what it's supposed to. Dr upped chances of remission from 30% to 50%. Due to the positive response after 2 rounds of IV chemo (in addition to tablets taken daily), the Dr is amazed. I know my Redeemer liveth, thank you Lord Jesus!

Thank God I only had radiation after and not chemotherapy like you. You are such an example of what a Christian should be like and I pray that God keeps you in the palm of his hand. Joni, It's a couple of years now since your last bout with cancer....but your ministry has not ended with the cancer. It's 4:00 AM and I"ve been up since 10:00 PM battling my own hell with chronic severe pain....and I came upon this piece by you that I had not seen. You always look so beautiful, manicured and polished...but what ministered to me the most were the candid shots of you...no makeup; pain on your face. Those tell the real story. And those were the photos that most resonated with me. Thank you for sharing them. It is tempting, as you know, not only to succumb to bitterness at God, a lack of gratitude for his gifts, anger at the "hand we are dealt" (as though it was by chance or some kind of cosmic game of poker!), fear of what the future holds, but to accuse his very character and loving nature. and it is these misrepresentations of his loving, merciful, gracious, nature that are the most dangerous. Thank you for your images of the battlefield. Because it truly is war. Keep up the good fight. stand strong in the grace he gives and when all is done, to STAND. You stand tall in that wheelchair Joni....when it is all done on this earth, you will STAND on two feet instead of four wheels. Keep up the good fight. (it bears repeating) You are much loved, here on earth as you are in heaven.

I have chronic fatigue from a car accident in 2012. I had a concussion and stressed muscles in my neck. The Lord healed me miraculously!! Many people prayed for me! Now, I embrace the chronic fatigue (which surfaced 3 years ago) b/c He says my grace is sufficient. 🕊️. It is a spiritual battle. You have to understand what God says about suffering…consider it all joy.

Thank you for this Joni❣️ I’ve been suffering so much in pain, (nothing near as much as you I’m sure) fighting chronic fatigue, chronic costochondritis, and fibromyalgia for 14 years and began pain treatments in October, was improving til I had back surgery in April then all the nerve pain set me back again and I’m Starting over. The treatments are awful! Hallucinations and nausea and dizziness, but they work very slowly. I got out the shower this morning too weak to stand and dress, and picked up My phone to look for encouragement while I waited for some strength from the Lord and your video was exactly what I needed❤ May God continue to bless you with strong health and a well husband and praying friends and family🙏🙏 thank you again for the videos, they’re such a huge encouragement and blessing to me❤

You say everything I feel. I have ovarian cancer. was diagnosed in April 2010 (stage 1-C) had surgery & chemo. lost my hair, but it is okay. God is using this,teaching me, molding me & I'm lean on Him & trust Him. But Dec. 2010, we found it had reoccured. So 6 months of more chemo. June 2011, all looked good again. End of Sept, my #s were back up. Nov. 2011 we knew for sure it had reoccured. So now chemo, indefinitely. But it is okay. God is in control, God is good. I will trust Him.

Been waiting for a breakthrough for my prodigal children and the restoration of my marriage. My husband abusive and very controlling. Currently separated for two years now from my husband of 26 years. We both are born again and I brought up my children in the Lord and our family has been torn apart and there have been several attempted suicides. My life, my dreams, my hopes shattered. My health affected by the heartbreak. In all this, I can say with you that God has been faithful to me. That He has carried me through and many battles.

"So bizarre and twisted" sounds like my struggle with mental illness. That's why I listen to the Lord, (via your 'Diamonds in the Dust) to renew my mind (and restore my heart). So lovely to see you after only ever hearing about you when I was a child, some 30 years ago, reading one of your books 20 years ago and hearing various things about you from other Christians over the years. excellent..so relate to this as I am in the midst of battling stage 3, cancer as well. Had the chemo, and knew of God's sustaining grace through the outpouring of support from my church. However, prior to surgery and going through surgery, it has not been as easy, and has been a huge spiritual battle. It's like walking in the dark...not knowing God's peace or presence..but still having to cry out yo the Lord, as the Psalms, in Psalm 72. Thankful to know God heard Joni's cries, and proved Himself to be sufficient. She is such a testimony of God's truth. I hope to be as valiant, by God helping me too.

I have a much smaller battle in comparison, but fewer supports and resources. However, God has ALWAYS rewarded me "pressed down, shaken together and flowing over" when I trust Him. I'm so glad Joni, that God is using you in this way. So many people get focused on the physical. We are of course, in that struggle. But the more important struggle for me is obeying Christ. This is the prayer I ask for. That God would help me to obey Him in a way that delights Him. Thank you for sharing so much of your life so that others of us can take heart! Joni, I have been put on the front lines of service. I was called to move into a senior living facility. I am using our mutual friend a wheelchair due to a broken back that was not.properly taken care of by the Med. Prof. I am independent and of course Our Father in His sense of humor (I love) decided this was a good place to put a nurse, and a nosey talkative one to boot. We have seen a lady healed that was on hospice, thru prayer. I have had a chance to do as the Lord command us, to preach the gospel.I have been able to make contact with some with dementia with my little, Pete, a Chihuahua,They love to pet him. We do whatever He sets before us. Please pray that I will be salt and light here, and that I will see these dear ones thru His eyes.
