Verse 3 was basically saying... Now the elders saught to commune with one about GOD and his actions as if they were putting him on trial and going to discuss his behavior. But GOD saw what was going on said "Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel and say to them ' thus says the Lord GOD, " do you come to enquire of me? As I live, declares the Lord GOD, " I will not be inquired of by you."
