If you were to join the clock tower, which department would you go into?

I think I would go with Modern Magecraft Theories because I don't see me being that great so simplifying the studies would be great lol, or be a Enforcer because of my time in the Marine Corps so I guess that would be Policies.

According to the casefile novels applicants to The clocktower usually train under at least three different facilities before settling down to one. This is proven by the fact that Touko studied under both the facility of archaeology and the department of creation exemplified by her ability to restore the declining branches of Magecraft in the form of puppetry and runes. dr. Heartless being the former head of the faculty for modern age craft none-the-less has extensive knowledge of both zoology and botany. Elsa actually answer your question I think I would take a page out of Zouken Matou's book and study under the facilities of spiritual evocation and curses with doing some work at either the department of lore for the department of heavenly bodies 2 round it out.

I don't know if I would join the clock tower if I did I think I might prefer to be in a magic history branch to rediscover and or recreate primeval runes(all runes) and true ether, either that or celestial research like planets and stars, they were always interesting to me especially in the Nasuverse.

Weaver's identity as Reines brother is just for protection since she is too young to carry the El-Melloi name thus Weaver acts as the current El-Melloi to distract people who are targeting Reines and use this position of power to gain influence to change things while Reines is using this as the only chance to protect Weaver from other mages since she likes Weaver due to being a huge fan for his action in surviving the holy grail war.

Basicly the Clock Tower is the headquarters of respectable(douches) and honorable(Self centered), talented(desperate weaklings) of mages( not all of them but). But again the Association is a good example of even in the world of Magic, fantasy is nothing more than a dream, reality still still stings.

What I find problematic with mages is their lack of continuation of knowledge. In normal world humans write their discoveries for the other people to read them. Other people can use that knowledge as a ground for their discoveries and they will write those discoveries so others can read them. That's how we learned many mathematic and physic secrets and not start from the bottom. Mages are not usually interested to share their knowledge with others so they have to discover things themselves and when a Mage dies, his knowledge might dissapear with him so there is no continuation with knowledge. New generations must start with knowledge they have.

Imagine if mages would publish their ideas in books and other mages would read those books and might found new ways to use and develop their magecraft , which their family had not thought before. I mean look at space exploration and reaching the moon. One person or family did not reach the moon, but thousands of engineers, scientist and pilots who learned from their predecessors discoveries and mistakes.

Well I'll let you see it but never more hahahahahaha Fans:AHHHHHHHHHH Also it's pretty much a mess for the clocktower as they want to get to the root but actual good magus who have a chance get the sealing or killed so they always limit themselves that way like with shirou and Rin knowing it would be a bad idea to stay longer than the 5 years they study in general. Would also love to see how they interact with the cast more as renies liked luvia and gray would be a shock to see by them as so many little stories could be done

Well shirou would have gotten his skills sealed as it would not be good if they found out he had a reality marble so just being an apprentice is fine to go without joining to stay out of danger not taking the exam

@@heroricspiritfreinen38 yes but Rin already said how useless it is in both making something and then putting magic energy in it which uses up more magic then a simple magic blast like gandr so they would probably find out if somehow shirou is able to make and use actual weapons with a grade so he does it at home from what we see. But luckily shirou won't need to take the exam to see his skills since he is rins pupil so he can do the classes without the need to officially join since they can leave and do leave later on in hollows story.

From what I remember. The maids are either made like reinies one. Homuculus like illya and the family in apoc or trained knowing not magic but combat like luvias butler or clean up the messes like the church and tower in zero and fsn but of course the enforcers and excusion branches also "clean up" messes as well Or just be like Rin and shirou to clean up yourself but clocktower has a lot of money

Oh how I wish we could have gotten more of a post series of shirou and Rin in ubw as they have the best potential for an epilogue story if you connect the CD and hollow ataraxia and even strange fake stories to the anime but nasu is mean Would have been great to see the stories with luvia and the clocktower cast with ubw shirou and Rin. Also Rin is super dere but Territorial with shirou like a Neko. CURSE YOU NASU.

It is worth mentioning that you snagging the rank "Cause" is more or less equivalent a _standing ovation_ from the Association, considering what's going on. Think about it - according to the wiki, "The rank of Cause is most often the limit for magi whose lineage reaches five hundred years, even with hard work. They also must have "created some sort of magical foundation and stabilized it" for the Clock Tower to recognize them as sufficiently talented. The lowest ranks are Count and Frame." For someone who has no known lineage and is arguably some nameless nobody to manage to snag a rank where they're a recognized Magus? Yeah, that's a big deal, and that's even with the fact that your involvement was downplayed. Hell, thinking about it, considering that we've managed to contract with Divine Spirits, Grand candidates, all manner of Extra classes (Foreigners in particular), and hell, even servants that have the _Beast_ attribute, on top of managing to hold contracts with a staggering number of heroic spirits, even if Chaldea is doing the heavy lifting in terms of mana, as well as having the loyalty of pretty much _every single one of them..._ we're lucky we got a rank and not a _Sealing Designation,_ regardless of how low it is, and that's if they don't find out about Void Shiki. If they ever find out about Void Shiki, I get the feeling we'd go from Sealing Designation to "Number One Most-wanted mage on the planet." I mean, come on, Void Shiki is more or less a walking personification of _the Root itself._ Your typical mage would either have to be stupid, insane, or be a Magician _not_ to go after you, regardless of the fact that Void Shiki has no interest in using her powers.

I'm gonna be honest If this school does exist and I am a mage, I seriously doubt I'll be successful... Can't be successful if you don't have a family no? I'd probably just go to the modern magecraft theory Id rather leave a small tiny mark on history than take a chance of getting a massive mark... Also waver is such a good role model

Imagine if archer just cadalabolg-ed the clock tower Or if Kiritsugu c4-ed it Which begs the question, if a servant and master raided the clock tower, would they be able to defeat every mage there? E.g if saber just walks in there does she just solo every high class mage in a 1vs 10,000?

Probably not if you actual see some of the magus they make servants look like toys going by tsukuhime level and saber and medusa did get curb stomped by soichirou who isn't a magus but an assassin when they let thier guard down and I'm sure seeing gray would give enough time to get the drop on saber. Also some of the magus like the doctor did summon a servant so they would have a chance to fight back plus gray had the spear to clash with saber with so the magus would be able to fight back. Kerry already tried that to kayneth and if anyone had a defense the level of kayneth such as reines did they would be just fine in an explosion plus Kerry wouldn't do that as he does jobs for magus before like the einzberg hire but kalied would if they wanted to start the war again as Kerry is a doting daddy with a gun. Archer does snipe people in hollow from high buildings so he would have the best chance to win staying at a distance So it's not an easy win and would be a mess since magus have jewel eyes almost on level with medusa as well

The facility itself can survive Ars Almadel Salomonis. But most of the magi don't stand a chance against Artoria due to her A-rank Magic Resistance.

Soichirou with a sneak attack and magic power up killed medusa and chocked saber so she isn't gonna do as much damage as you think if she gets cocky which she will be fighting humans. Plus of she sees gray ishkander shadow or any tsukuhime magus she would lose or not have an easy win.

Saber and archer would freak out seeing gray or hard battle against ishkander shadow so it's not an easy battle and even soichirou would have killed saber being an assassin Also aoko would kill them easy and zeltrech would be interesting to see since he makes magical girls

He's much superior due to being almost entirely focused on combat. Most of the magi are just scholars.

He'd be superior to most of the mages. Sealing Enforcers are a different matter, Bazett alone could wreck Shirou if he tried to employ his Reality Marble with Fragarach.

Shirou could kick their asses. That said he’d benefit from more formal training. He’s self destructive in most of the VN.

Bazett and most Enforcers, and maybe Modern Magecraft, would give Shirou a run for his money either due to being better prepared for combat or a mindset different from standard magi.

So the clock towers underneath the British Museum, So why does it keep showing pictures of the Houses of Parliament? Did Nasu fuck up on the research and get the two mixed up or did he really like Big Ben that much? Also it seems to me that having Hogwarts underneath one of the biggest Tourist attractions on the planet maybe asking for trouble.

That's definitely not the British museum though... The image is 100% the houses of Parliament, with Big ben. The British museum is not on the banks of the Thames and has a neoclassical design.

I have a question, can a mage whom has no special talent and weak magic circuits and no wealth, study and get a place in the clock tower by doing freelance work for lords of the clock towers?

If you already had a tie to mage culture than probably. The biggest hurdle would be if they considered you an outsider.

@@otakudaikun I see, so even for example my character is from a family on the mother's side a mage family whom practice witchcraft but the father is just a normal human and my character just so happens to be born with magic circuits, though not an A rank quality, at most c rank. Would my character be accepted in the clock tower?

Sucks asian mages have a slim chance to go to the clock tower. From what I heard a there are mages here (Philippines) but one person using magecraft I know got killed by their own child and left the county.
