In a freeze like we had, you don’t need to run the refrigerator. The outside is your refrigerator. All bets off on that strategy during hurricane season.

We had same problem here in Canada spring storm. No phones. Cash only . No gas only outside at nearby towns if they where not out of gas. For a week this went on. You need to rely on yourself and neighbours and family it helps a lot. Government was slow.

Every year I have an emergency card I use. I spent $1,000 on supplies and just keep it all in my spare walk in closet. After years of doing that I have a nice emergency setup.
