The "something like that" David Grier quote at the end topped it off!

Fab interview, superb picking. Inspired, I went straight on to eBay and ordered an old vinyl copy of Flatt & Scruggs 'Songs of the Carter Family' (no CD available here in England). Something like that anyhoo ...

I wanna know who told Trey to sound like anyone other than himself. Once went to a small show Guthrie Trapp was playing and realized the "rockstar" mentality is in bluegrass too. He was so awful to the sound guy that night and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Stopped listening to and watching him pretty much altogether. Every time I'd put on a video of his after that, I couldn't focus on his guitar playing, I'd just think of how he was acting that night and getting second-hand embarrassed for the sound guy. Hell of a guitarist, disappointing character.
