Wow!! My heart was in my throat a few times between Jami standing on the hay bales trying yo save Marcia’s nest and eggs, to the hay being tricky yo get ready-stacked & Lester having the ability to get those hay bales to stand in the tight places and save Marcus snd Goldies nest!! Lester has some skills working that tractor when he’s limited in his eye sight of just where those bales and fork on tractor are landing! Great work to you both Lester for stacking that hay and for you Jami for saving Marcia’s nest!! Love y’all ❤️🙏🙋🏻

Good morning Jami and Lester, I love the fact Lester was worried about Marsha's nest of eggs and Goldie's too ☺️🤗 that was so sweet of him trying to figure out how to protect the eggs before you came outside to help him save the day 🤗☺️🥚🥚😘🥰🥚🥚🐔🐔🦃🦃He tries to say he's not a feathered person, but he really is at heart 💜❤️ even though he might think they aren't a manly type animal 😃 but since having CARL the biggest feathered baby there is now he can admit to being a feathered Man 😂🤣😂🤣🥚🐔🦃🥚🦃🐔 anyway back to the Hay after the episode with Sissy getting herself hung in the hay string's, and thank God for you noticing that she didn't come out with the other babies and you went to look for her and found her before you left with Chip to go to the Vet for his castration procedure. If your Mommy's instinct hadn't been in high alert like it was and you had left without looking for Sissy she wouldn't be with us today 😧 so just like now you are up in the Hay with Daddy Lester using a hay fork coming straight at you while you are protecting a nest of eggs from being hurt 🤕 or worse cracked and broken open and destroyed proving once again you're our super-mommy of Ima Survivor Donkey and Farm Animal Sanctuary 💞☺️❤️🤗💞🥰💞😘❤️ and the Hay looks fantastic after y'all have restacked it in a safer way for any of the animals that decide they're going to get up on top of it ❤️🤗💞☺️❤️ no matter what it takes the two of you guys are always going to make it safe for the animals in your care 💅 and I love you for that. Much love to you all from Hartman Arkansas 💕❤️🥰💕❤️🥰💕❤️🥰

I've been watching a channel of a "homesteader, in Latvia and seeing so many similarities in things they do and what Lester does. They've shown the local farmer who mows and bales hay, then moves it with claws. Although the equipment looks much older, they get the job done. BTW...the young man was raised on a Latvian farm and is living on such a shoe string that he doesn't have a mower, only a HD weedeater and an old scythe, which he uses. His piles of "grass" are then moved with a wheelbarrow, to the goats and sheep for treats. I think it's called Do & Be Different. (They're restoring an old, nasty 200+ y o farmhouse and barns. Lester could learn some tricks. Goats, sheep, chickens GEESE, cat and an annual stork nest. Lester doesn't have a STORK!, Only faux flamingos.

@jeanetteiacovone19583 жыл бұрын
Jamie, next time you can pull the eggs back a foot or 2, Marsha or Goldie are broody and as long as the eggs are in the same area and they can find the eggs… they will sit on them. One time this may not work is if the bird is coming out of being broody. I have moved eggs around and my birds have always went right back and I moved them to different nest boxes but only when I had to. I never bother a hen sitting unless it is very very important as those eggs always come first! God bless you guys…. Love your vids
@emilybasham54603 жыл бұрын
There IS a claw attachment made especially for moving round bales. And it's used primarily for moving netted- or plastic-covered bales which keeps them "nice and tight and from crumbling apart." And because those bales are so compressed, one can get a lot more into one space. Just being my ol' broken record! Shalom and God bless y'all!

Hello Jami and Lester. Oh my Jami what he gets you into. Standing on hay bales that are wobbly to begin with then states I am moving these front hay bales but Marsh has laid some eggs and need to protect them for they don't fall. I can hear Lester sing Don't you Think My Tractor is Sexy and off he goes just grabbing any bale that he wants . Good grab for saving Marsha's eggs. Lester you are very lucky.

Great job Lester! Now you need to use that janky hay first, or move it out when the 2nd cutting bales come in, so you can have nice tight bales that haven't had goats, chickens and a turkey doing their potty business all over them in there for the others to eat.

Turn them on end outside. Then you can poke them in the side to place on emd.
@traceysouders98403 жыл бұрын
Jami said they fall apart if you get them from the side. We asked the same question.
@sharonforkin60643 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. Do you think the bales would fall apart if they are stabbed in the side when freshly baled and tight? I was thinking that would be easier too. My grandfather had rectangular bales so stacking them wasn’t a problem.
@dougaltman91483 жыл бұрын
@@traceysouders9840 to me they are tightly kept by the string. If put on end then poked from the side it should work. You all have to remember the hay has been a play ground for a couple months. Plus it is a place feathers are nesting. Of course some of the bales look bad. But we're not there and Lester and Jami are.
