But then remember... Discord is the MASTER of misdirection, he can do anything he wants in even a second. So that PIE moment could have been a way to give him JUST enough time to make a clone, have said clone take his place. All to make 100% sure he can get fluttershy out safely... After all he has shown in a specific episode where he will go serious when fluttershy is captured or in danger. Considering she and her friends are safe at the end with the LETTER he wrote, who's to say he wasn't ON the letter in 2d form in the FINE print. Discord be like "You should always read the fine print when making a DEAL"

Interestingly, this being the 180th episode connects it with the fact that the sum of the interior angles of a triangle (which is the shape of Bill's body) is 180 degrees. Bill may have won the battle, but it seems that Discord achieved his goal as well. Unfortunately or fortunately, neither are gone for good. Bill will eventually escape from the Nightmare realm, and as a personification of Chaos, it's likely Discord will eventually reform as long as chaos exists.

Like before and after this was announced I've heard many people go for Bill at at some point I've heard a comparable amount of people go for Discord. But overall from what I've seen, it sounds like most think Bill would win and he did win. I guess impressions about this fight can depend on the crowd of people that you pay attention to

Unicorn hair is only an ingredient in the anti-magic barrier, on it's own it's not enough to effect Bill. And contact with the barrier didn't weaken Bill, he just couldn't get through it.

@@Yippie_Yeehaw-A56 The barrier didn't nullify Bill's power. He could still affect things on the other side of the barrier, just not pass through the barrier. Even if unicorn hair was all you needed to make the barrier (it isn't, just like how you can't have pumpkin pie with only pumpkins), he would have easily been able to defeat Equestria's unicorn population, just not travel through their manes or tails.
