Funny thing about ho-oh in UL is that it has very similar bulk as talon flame but only has nuke moves

Assuming Lv50 Talon and a 6/6/6 Ho-Oh (minimum IV spread for Shadows legendarys) in comparison the stats are as follows Talonflame - Attack 160.4 - Defense 142.8 - HP 168 Ho-Oh Lv24 (6/6/6) S=Shadow Bonus - Attack 160.3(S=192.36) - Defense 163.6(S=130.8) - HP 143 As far as stat goes they are very similar but Ho-Oh just less tankier. As a note a 1 stage atk buff is 1.25x damage increase so it's basically .05% more than a Shadow but difference between the 2 is just Ho-Oh already deals the damage as though it's at +1 attack due to the bonus. Performance wise Ho-Oh is just more damage focused and expensive moves while Talonflame has pretty balanced pacing+damage.

Running my whimsicott team last night and i got absolutely cooked by a version of this team running talon instead of ho-oh despite winning the lead hard vs the tina. Fire is a typing that many of us still disrect depsite the incinerate buff thie season, and running 2 of them can overwhelm a lot of teams like mine.

i still dont know why lot people prefer great league over ultra.. ultra league is lot more balanced what i mean there lot bigger pool of good pokemons compare great where 90% teams just same whiscash and skarmory core teams. I really wish competive pokemon go would move ultra league. its so much more also fun to watch when there smaller cap between xl mons and pokemon start be lot more bulky so lot less one shot hits.

I run Venusaur Skeledirge and Chandlure and its very successful as the ABB double incinerate and it’s hilarious whenever I face a charmer most of the time the opponent top lefts

I’ve been leaning more towards UL league rather than GL lately, which is wild cuz I’ve been focusing on GL for a long time and only have 4 UL mons. The GL meta has just been so uninteresting this season that even running the same team every time in UL has been more fun than anything in GL.

If you have a 15/0/0 IV Dirge in the UL for example, then you can win CMP against Talonflame

The real question is does 15/0/0 Dirge get's any breakpoint against rank 1 cobalion & Virizion though?

@@SoinEight If Coba/Viri’s defence is 183 (e.g., 1/15/2), you gain the Incinerate bulkpoint against R1 Dirge but with the 15/0/0, Incinerate would do 23 damage to max defence Coba/Viri

Go run tripple fire and see how that goes for you in ultra league. Ultra league is definitely the least skilful league so I see your point there. But don't hate on all legendarys, especially shadow spice.

The meta revolves around a handful of Pokémon, which haven't changed much since the beginning It's the easiest league to learn and memorize how to play against the meta, in my opinion or am I the only one who thinks this becuz i am an UL enthusiast?

@@SoinEight Yeah master prob cause meta is stupidly small. Funny say ultra is needing least skill when it got probably biggest pool of actually good picks, so meta is lot larger than master or even great league.. Great league problem been long time there always few pokemon which are super good like medi earlier and now whiscash+skarmory is just 90% of teams. I like also ultra league lot more. i think its good balance between those two league. Mons arent even near glassy as they are great league cause 2500cp allowed lot pokemon get much higher level, so they can be their fully evolve forms. when great league lot pokemons are just super fragile and bigger cap between xl ones which make meta lot more smaller. I would say master premier would probably being my favorite league if niantic give love and time make pokemon pool bigger that league. THO first we need master premier back.. not know reason why its been off so many seasons. just i get hundo shadow snorlax they take it away 😢
