Let It Go, Ride the Wind | The Taoist Philosophy of Lieh Tzu

The Lieh Tzu contains many stories with philosophical themes like the nature of reality, the purpose of life, and the workings of the mind. One theme that runs like a thread through this ancient scripture is the tendency of human beings to stand in their own way and thereby sabotaging a spontaneous, effortless mode of living.
Dominated by a mind burning with desire, anxiously trying to control the uncontrollable, we’ve become unwilling and unable to let the universe run its natural course, as we have exchanged spontaneity for fear. And the more we fight the universe, the more painful our lives become, as things inevitably change in directions we don’t like.
But how can we re-embark the natural flow of life? What if we dare to let go of our attachments and desires, our fears and inhibitions, and become as light as a feather, like Lieh Tzu? This video explores the Taoist philosophy of Lieh Tzu on how to let go and ride the wind.

@@michaeloaks9905 middle ground. Most Taoist sages were too passive, i.m.o. and that is how people get conquered by others and defeated in many aspects of life. Wu wei means 'not striving' and that is different than not doing'. It merely means doing, then not having a hissy fit or getting over-emotional about the results...it means being emotionally stable and cool & calm. If you accomplish what you aimed for -okay; if you don't- okay.

The Tao is always here, it manifests in infinite forms. To truly recognize it in everything we need to let go of our preferences and biases on what we think it should be, observing reality for what it really it, as the Zhuangzi says: “Don’t listen with your ears listen with your mind. No, don’t listen with the mind, listen with your spirit (Chi). Listening stops with the ears, the mind stops with recognition, but the spirit is empty and waits on all things. The Tao gathers in emptiness alone. Emptiness is the fasting of the mind” 🙏☯️❤️

This is a good message, but it's also important to remember that you need a good balance between push and pull. You can't just simply sit back and expect everything to come to you. You have to make some effort. You have to really want it. If not, then what is the point? You shouldn't be desperate but you should be highly motivated and interested. To be honest, there is nothing better in life than to go all in/out and raise the spirit/frequency. THAT is after all what makes you feel alive! Going berzerk in the gym without a care in the world is a great example.

The dog that always bit people, I knelt down we were face to face, the owners were terrified... it didn't bite, i took his face in my hands we exchanged hellos. Nothing harmed nothing could. It is like I am being shown a map to a place I am intimately familiar with. As though I am being guided carefully down a path, the intricate steps of which are the life-learned gait of my feet.

All is perfect. The nature of Nature. Of itself so. The blowing wind makes the sound in the hollows and the echo only cares to repeat its message. "Do you realize that being a mixed up human being is in and of itself an expression of nature?" edit: control is an illusion and so is good grammar when the apostrophe changes a word to escape ownership. :)

When we achieve this state we don't swim in the waters, we become them. We aren't burned by fire, but instead pass through it. We are the wind, we are the way.
