Worth noting is that there is an inbuilt slider and zoom feature for 'stills' or edited into a video viewed on computers and tablets, in many Panasonic Lumix cameras. Good for a simple effect but not as sophisticated as the mechanical slider, obviously.

Huw Williams: I don't quite understand your posting, sorry. Also, could you tell us which Panasonic Lumix cameras you know have the "feature"?

@@joestrahl6980 My GX80 certainly has it and I assume that GX cameras since then and all G from the 80 has both features. Page 171 of my detailed PDF manual explains 'Recording Motion Pictures that Pan and Zoom'. Adobe and KZbin will not allow me to copy and paste from the Acrobat file, or I would. They call it 4K Live Cropping.
