I actually got the book last christmas, and it's one of the best books I've ever read!!!!! The characters, the different stories, the description of everything is just GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I love it so much. I stopped watching this video at 4:27 because it was then I realized it's a remake of the book Let it snow by John Green (my favourite author), Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle hahaha. I found this super interesting, Dylan! I usually watch movies and I notice missed storyline or acting opportunities, but I don’t watch movies with a ‘director’s eye’. So I love this extra perspective on movies and I love how you analyze them. I’d love more in depth videos on specific characters as well. Like, about how their personalities were set up and how their character growth was portrayed and how that could have been done better in your opinion.

Okay but this was so much fun and interesting and that movie was def the perfect choice for a premier of the "new" video style. Hope to see more of that kinda content (even tho I missed your face maybe at the start or/and at the end and I'm sure I'm not the only one)

I loved the re-edits and explanations of how it could be better. It’s cool to hear the perspective of somebody who studied this stuff. Also, I thought the original scene with the sled was supposed to be suspenseful and somebody was going to go to the hospital. It didn’t occur to me that it could be funny until you told me. It just gave me flashbacks to Where the Wild Things Are. Sooo, thank you for the edits. They were incredible.

This style of video was really fun to watch, I could see how much Dylan could actually do with a scene rather than just talk about it. It kinda was like those "Everything Wrong with [Title of Movie]" videos. I hope he makes more videos like this!!

I read this book as a teen and actually liked it a lot. I hadn't heard of this at all until I saw the title on Netflix and realized that's what it was based off of. I did actually laugh at some of the jokes in this film, but there were also a lot of moments that were total let downs. I think they deviated from the book a little too much. But as a Netflix movie, it could be worse.

This made a significant difference. I watched this movie and had decent expectations for it, I thought at the very least I would laugh a lot but was disappointed cuz I barely did and especially during the moments I knew I was meant to he laughing...I wasn't. The simple differences Dylan made completely changed that and even though I originally did not laugh at the scenes and KNEW what was coming, DYLANS CUTS MADE ME LAUGH!!!!! You have an incredible eye for this

I recently discover Dylan'd videos and I've being watching ALL of them, specially the movie commentaries. Let me tell you, it definitely change the way I see movies, I notice things I never notice before...Like the transitions between scenes and the way a camera shot can change the meaning of the scene and make it great or bad. ... DYLAN, YOUR CHANNEL IS SO FAR MY FAVORITE!
