Edgar, your violin is beautiful in many ways, that mankind still desires to pursue excellence is encouraging. We at ARK Silver Gold Osmium in Jackson WY were the honored custodians of this violin for a week, one of the local violinists we had play it wept as she described its beauty of sound appearance and essence. A truly ethereal moment for me was hearing Elgars Nimrod in our store from your violin. Well done Sir.

It’s like a hardanger fiddle, but even more beautiful and a violin! I wish I had a violin that was beautifully ornate like this.

My daughter said she loves it... And wants one just like it... She is six years old. Yeah... I told her that this work of art is above our price range... I don't think we could afford one peg. But it's very pretty in all aspects of how a violin should be pretty 😊

Huge smiles here! It is beautiful. Bravo!! A wonderful and unique achievement. How long before we see the ER-OS design in production? Perhaps even a copy with wood inlays instead of jewels? ;))

Respekt. So ein Projekt geht nur mit dem nötigen Durchhaltevermögen. Gratulation zum Gelingen! Deep bow for the Maestro Edgar. The violin sounds like a beautiful lady with a seductive sweet voice. No, it is not "kitsch" at all.

Just beautiful to watch, play and listen to. Great work with love to the detail by taking the time and money to make it perfect in every possible way. I hope, we can see this beauty on stage, played like in heaven, and sparkeling in the spotlights. You created the Osmium-Violin and you brought it to absolut perfection. Thank you.

Very nice. Do you have concerns that the inlays will create new stress areas in the finish, or will "pop out" as the instrument seasons? I have had this problem with very "ornate" guitars over the years. I acknowledge that they were not inlaid by master luthiers for the most part, but decorated after manufactured (think "cowboy" guitars).

I was expecting to hear a more of a bigger resonance voice, it didn't project outwardly, but it is a very nice model of the Hellier.
@EdgarRuss Жыл бұрын
The model is my personal designed model which I have created to produce a more characteristic rough but well projecting violin. I am actually extremely happy how it turned out. The recording isn't that profesional but for me very promising. I will soon have some more sound samples while it is played by professional musicians during their concerts. Thanks for your comment all the best from Cremona Edgar

Not in my opinion, when you see an highly skilled violinist weep whilst describing this violin after playing it for us. There is a need to pursue beauty and excellence in this often grey world.

Okay, I’ve seen enough of violins and partially cello examples. But what about the Double Bass? You don’t come across as a keen expert on this subject. Are you a limited minded luthier? Cremona is supposed to be respected for Double Basses, and you don’t talk about it much in your videos. I’m a professional Double Bassist for 45 years, and I have worked with a lot of luthiers in New York, Canada, England and Ireland. Chuck Traeger was a master in regraduating the top plate of the Bass. I’ve learned an awful lot through trial and error by analyzing the size of grain on spruce wood, especially Carphatian woods, which is the best by all accounts. What exactly do you know about the Double Bass? I enjoy your videos, but you’re a little bit off in mathematical certainty especially the cello. 🇮🇪👍
