I am glued to what u are saying because I’ve always been afraid of eye make up. You get people doing these really elaborate fancy stuff. It’s nice to see someone doing basics for once.
@Dazychain24 күн бұрын
You gotta also keep in mind that those people started with simple looks, too. Like I do elaborate makeup now in my 30s but when I first did my makeup (19), I could really only manage to make eyeliner look decent.

Thanks! I'm in my 30's with girls of mine own now, they're still very young but have like playing with hair and (very cheap) makeup. My mum never showed me to use makeup so I'm learning how to now so that when they're older and if they're still interested we can do it together.

I'm in my twenties and even that I find this super helpful because I only use one color for my eyelids because I'm not confident yet blending some colors! If you don't mind could you give the same tip like this but with peachy pink colors and dark blue colors? Thank you ❤
@slaybyjessАй бұрын
You can do this with any colors! So pot peach use a light peachy color, a true peach, and then a dark brown. For blue use different shades of blue! ❤

I love your application tips and that you make everything look doable; I get really intimidated by other makeup KZbinrs. Never change your awesome teaching style! …and yes, my mom didn’t teach me about makeup because she rarely wears any. I didn’t luck out and get her natural beauty. My Mom didn’t wear makeup. Her mom didn’t wear makeup. None of her 4 sisters wore/wear makeup. My Mom couldn’t teach me any makeup application. My point: even completely unintentionally, moms are ‘blamed’ for… everything, or, for way too much in our society. What does that do to us listening subconsciously - especially with today’s social media’s reach and influence? Maybe its use in this intro is because this blame is so prevalent, maybe not. But, there are so many ways to say the same thing. What if this video started with, “if you weren’t shown how to use eyeshadow, I’m gonna show you right now,” or similar, versus, “If your mom didn’t… I’m your mom.” ?? imho, that changes the video to the tutorial I think it was meant to be, and it’s a good one! Thank you for the tips, genuinely - really helpful and a lot of info in 1 min. Why did this hit me enough to comment? Mostly because these were the opening lines (plural). To the last of these lines that completed the opening, “I’m your mom” - WOAH. That one is too loaded of a statement to comment on more than, “NO!” and to ask, please, PLEASE don’t say, “I’m your mom,” following, “If your mom didn’t… .” We know that teaching eyeshadow application is not one of the billion responsibilities of a mom, and no one is filling a mom’s shoes by demonstrating it, yet, here it is, literally. As your mom likely did teach, whether you meant to offend someone else or not, you apologize, which includes not doing ‘it’ again. If that lesson is learned, ideally it’s applied throughout your life. When the choice is made to post your message on social media where it has incredible influential power, particularly on young women and tweens here, the choice includes profound responsibility and the duty to consciously, carefully choose each of your words. - a mom (who did teach her child how to apply eyeshadow)

Aweome!!! I have been watching your reels for a while now, but never commented. I think you offer the public an incredible and **wonderful** resource for beauty and self care. I'd say you are the 'beauty-ologist' we ALL need. I am 54 (Female) and used to look sort of like you!! LOL If I could ask if you talk about your skin regime for girls your age, prep them for my age! :it's SUUUPER duper important (keeping it as simple as you can). If you can get these people to do their make up RIGHT and better, I believe you could do similarly for skin care (It DOES go hand in hand imo!!) you are so great though. Keep up the great work you are doing, you are making a HUGE difference! 🥰

This is a beautiful minimal look. It doesn’t work for me, however, because my eyes are hooded and the outer corners turn down. So the dark outer corner makes them look even droopier. I tend to wear the dark in the crease to define it more(and bring it up more so it’s visible with the hood). The medium goes above that. And the light goes on the lid near the lashes and on the brow bone.
