Hey Claire, I think that the fat neck makes my tone a little more mellow. It was hard to adjust to at first because it takes a little more air to fill the horn. It feels really smooth to play it though.

Saxophone is pretty easy to begin learning compared to other woodwind instruments. If you have some knowledge of music theory already, I think you should have no major problems learning how to play tenor sax.
