Alex, another great video! I'd gone to Golden Bay but never "down the street," as it were, to Singita. Thank you for that tip to go there, too! I loved how humanly and humorously you included some of the clips where you weren't spot on in your delivery or in the image--I think it shows how complicated it is to put together a well-focused video and how time-consuming it is--and what a great treasure you are for putting together so many of them!

I always enjoy your videos. I left Malta in 1975 and went back several times, but only for holidays. Just above where you were sitting at the end of this video, at the top of those stairs, used to be a small hotel called “Riviera Martinique“. I worked there as a wine Butler in the early 1970s while going to the University of Malta. I always remember my experiences at this hotel. At one time I spilt two beers on a Lady resident. At another time the champagne bottle I was I trying to open shot down and smashed on the ground and I was left holding the cork. The owner of the restaurant was an exceptionally kind man and I wasn’t fired for either incident. Apparently, this hotel burned down a few years later. Thanks for the memory.

Thanks for another excellent video, Alex! Can I use this video as my opportunity to ask a question about something I've noticed in many of your other videos? Why are some of your shots flopped L-R? When you're driving in your car, the giveaway is when your RHD car suddenly converts to LHD! But even when you're walking around, sometimes the lettering on signs will flip (such as here at 03:38). Why the "flippage"?

Hi David, thanks a lot for the comment and glad you noticed that, and let me explain. I film with an iPhone 12 Pro Max, which has settings of 4K when im filming with front camera, which by default is flipped as per Apple, i flip them to normal view in post production on my phone with a software i bought from Apple Store but sometimes some of the clips they cannot be flipped to normal :) hope that explained

Please correct yourself. This is the second video in which you call the beach Singhita. That beach is Għajn Tuffieħa and Singhita is just the name of a restaurant at the bottom.

Hi Joseph. If you noticed in the video, i mentioned Ghajn Tuffieha, Riviera or Singita. That particular Bay many people just call it Singita because of the restaurant itself, some are saying it Riviera some know it as Manikata.

Well it looks all nice in this video but reality his quite harsh. I've been to both of those beaches (April 2022) and they are quite picturesque BUT: - both beaches are very crowded - there is an insane amount of traffic in the area I could not believe that a rural area can get absolutely congested with cars parked everywhere - rubbish everywhere - the worst offender: public bus transport. After some time at the beach we decided to head back to the bus stop only to discover that there are like 80 - 100 ppl waiting for a bus. Then it turns out the timetable is a joke because buses arrive at a totally random time. Not to mention EVERY arriving bus is full so the driver just skips the bus stop. So we spend there 2h and finally a private bus shows up so finally we can go back home. I can only imagine it can get way worse during the summer days with more ppl and temperatures reaching 40°c in the shade.

Thanks a lot for the comment, everything you mentioned is already in my video, i showed the crowded beach and i said “god knows hows its gonna be in Summer”, i even showed the bus being full i even talked about the busses and arriving here with public transport or rented car. I showed the parking, i showed the dirt i found inbetween the beaches, i didnt see any dirt on the actual beaches tho, maybe cos i didnt go swimming. Malta should be the worst Mediterranean country, in terms of nice beaches. They tend to go swimming diving from rocks. Even this golden bay, is nothing impressing. Nice sand but overall it would be an average beach in Greece, Italy or Spain. Its rediculous to go swimming in Sliema or in super crowed pool of waterfront hotel. Comino bay is the only interesting place to be, but even that is super crowded in hot season. So if you want to enjoy nature and nices beaches go to another country.

Ofc there are beauties in other ways, lets say the british architect from the ages of knights, but there is no pure nature, or decent beaches. If you come from the north, you might love summer in Malta, but if you have visited any other country, you d know i m right. Anyways cheers bro

@Liba tal Klieb If you mean the beaches and the rocks, they go there because weather is super hot and all humans need to get cooled. Malta is not an ugly place to be, but not ideal imo. The question is, do you believe beaches and choices are good for a Mediterranean island? I could name like 20-30 islands , of bigger or smaller size in Greece that have much better beaches, with more nature and more green places, better food and more reasonable prices. I dont think there is comparison. No bad feelings on your love for your place though
