I learned the other day that intangible and fossilized helix (or anything that gives you buffer) can save you from blasphemy. blasphemy isn't actually an insta kill, but it does 99999 damage at the start of the next turn. intangible reduces that to 1 and fossilized helix blocks it entirely, provided that an enemy doesn't consume that buffer before your turn starts. I learn something new every day

As far as starting relics go, I'm an Ironclad enjoyer. You can be more aggressive with events and fights, I think it's the relic that changes how you play the most. All the others I don't mind dumping. Then I get runic dome and fail to survive to the first boss.

Iirc the general consensus is that the Ironclad and Silent relics are good, but the Defect and Watcher relics are fine to swap. Ironclad in particular really misses the healing when so many of his cards are self-damaging.

I personally really like the watcher starting relic. I feel like the silent’s relic is probably the weakest as it provides a more reliable first turn but then no other benefits after that

silent's relic is literally the best and the one you should never give up, reducing your setup time by even one turn saves your life in so many encounters. the only reason it feels weak is because silent starts with the most basics to carve through in her deck
