Just two days ago I came across this band and am already very much intrigued by their music. A very young band yet show immense promise and potential. Popcifica, Rockcifica, Lovecifica and even classic Pacifica. All flavors of music they make are really good.

Yooooo 2nd band from Latin America that I see here. We're conquering the world. And just for the release of the Freak Scene live album! Gotta say any version is full of indie bangers, I highly recommend it. So glad they're getting more and more recognition cause they deserve it. Banco a muerte (though I wanna hear more about that new album...)

If you get a record contract with no material it's clearly not your music getting you signed.....Jeez. I'd do the same if I were them. But it's funny how hard some groups work touring, writing dozens if not hundreds of songs, really grinding for some support and these guys get a deal for playing strokes covers, which is how I know them. Good for them but man that's insane. "We want to sign you" " but, we have no songs" "that's okay, you got something else.....". I wish them luck and hope they take advantage of the opportunity so many never get.

I don't think this is a fair take. Their chemistry and talent was obvious even in their covers. Don't blame them for being enterprising enough to build a robust fan base on their own. I suspect that played a major role in their signing. Anyway, I think the resulting album validates the decision to sign them.

@@scotey You don't get signed as a musical act when you don't have music. That's not why they were signed. Someone saw potential in two attractive girls they could market. Be real here. That's perfectly fine. But don't ignore the obvious man. There's nothing wrong with it. As mentioned, I hope they do well while simultaneously avoiding the trappings and creeps that exist in that sphere. But don't tell me you get a record contract without songs. Unless the deal was super exploitative based on factors other than music, which it probably is. Given the lack of material or any sort of product. It's potentially a 360 deal, which is common these days. It is what it is.

@@ricopaulson1 It's the not the '80s anymore. The economics of music and publishing are evolving in real time. If you have a big following on social media, you are way more marketable. I don't recall the exact numbers, but Pacifica had a nice chunk of subscribers on KZbin before TAG came along. And they were obviously talented. Ines has one of those special voices that's easy to project. Anyway, they had some talent, a unique backstory, and a chunk of followers they could market to. I just think your take is a little simplistic and a little cynical. How many signed musicians *aren't* attractive? That's table stakes in the music industry. Also, pretty sure they had at least one original, Misled, that they played online before getting signed.

Their covers of "The only living boy in New York" and "12:51" showed Ines killer vocals, their harmonies in "You really got a hold on me" were excellent, and you only need to listen to their cover of "Toxic" by Britney Spears to understand Martina's potential at the bass, add all of that to their original "Misled" recorded on a fire escape in NY before they got signed and i'd say they had the whole package, sometimes life can get wild when one of the people watching your youtube videos is an executive for a record label. Of course being pretty and young doesn't hurt either, but i think making it all about that is unfair.

Their early KZbin video and immediate public reaction showed the record company that this was a talented team. They were talented players and had some original songs plus they have good taste in music. They are also very good looking and have charisma in spades.
