Just found you on here today, but I love watching these reaction videos. There really is a treasure trove of music from the 70's, 80's, and 90's and many from decades previous even and some from the early 2000's to the present although not very much has impressed me or has a truly amazing sound to it anymore - which is VERY sad... I'm a "Yes". 7 reasons why, followed by a request IF you don't know it (please). 1. You don't come over as fake. This platform is being swamped with people claiming to be Reaction channels, but I end up looking at someone listening to a song with no commentary during or after. You react, and your reactions seem pretty authentic to me, so you tick that box. 2. You're personable. That's what got Mr Video his 100k in a year. It's not for the songs, because we've heard them all hundreds of times. You come over as someone who we (your viewers) could have a drink with and enjoy your company. Other channels have owners just sitting there like statues. You don't do that. You engage, but you're not 'over the top' either, so you tick that box. 3. You're unique. You're either a musician or you know music. I've never heard other reactors pick out the strings in Comfortably Numb or the acoustic vs electric guitar dissonance in More Than A Feelin'... but you did. Whatever your background, your audience are also likely to know music OR know about the song/artist, so your knowledge of music in general is HUGE when it comes to pointing out elements of a song that others usually miss. 4. If you want to grow, you have to churn out more than 1 a week. From watching the others who have been where you are now, they made this part of their life, and they reap the rewards of their work. You'd need to be aiming for 1 a day to get on the Recommendations sidebar often. That's where most of your new subs will come from. It's how I found you. 5. If you already know a song, say so. If you don't like a song, say why. Be honest with us so we'll know what to send your way. 6. Think about setting up a Patreon: $5 a month. See what happens. I'd sub because I appreciate your efforts. If I would, and I'm in Ireland, there's more like me who would too. 7. What you're saying, you're saying in all the right places. Keep doing this. We're not here for the songs, we're here to watch YOU reacting to the songs. Watching others react to classics we all know is such a huge novelty. We're watching YOU, not the video, and you seem aware of that from start to end. One more time in case you don't understand my Irish accent: We're here for you first, the song second. That's all I've got for now. I'm known for writing essay-length comments, but most people find them helpful. Apologies if this was tedious to read.
