We all know what an apology is, we've all given them. But what makes an apology "good"? What can we learn from how public figures have apologized in the past? In this series, I'm studying apologies with the intention of one day knowing how to apologize well myself.

i'll be real it feels like simultaneous low-hanging fruit and also all the more complicated to analyze when it comes to apologies from people that are so deeply insincere and corrupt in character. it's hard to remove the person from their words imo. like i do realize that talking about politics is largely boring and unfitting for this discussion, but with an apology so obviously driven by the sole purpose of votership catering, it feels like missing context that is important to the content of his words that said, it's really icky to listen to. i don't wanna imagine what it's like as the women 'addressed' in it either, or any woman for that matter. the fact that he doesn't call the issues "more important" but just "important" in contrast is particularly telling and blegh
