In the ancient Semitic world, the Queen of a country was the King's mother. The King had many wives, but his mother had an authority all her own. If you find yourself without any vision of where you need to go, or otherwise distracted, then you pray These are things very easy to say and impossible to perform. Discussions about angelology are always problematic, since many traditions have their own views, and then even within each tradition there are differences or variations in conceptualisation and interpretation. However, one of the mainstays seems to be the view that angels do not have any free will, since they are creations of God for performing His will. In fact, each of the nine hierarchies (arrived at by Pseudo-Dionysius) has it own level of will-operation and responsibilities. In which case, how does it make sense that there could be any angels that would exercise their “own will” to dissent and turn from God? Also, since Paul warns about “powers and principalities,” is there a level above which there is no falling out of grace, so that the execution of God’s will is maintained without compromise in the rest of the hierarchies above a certain level?

The blessing of the Messiah by all the nations (Ps 71 (72):17) is concomitant with the blessing of His mother by all generations (Lk 1:48). “All generations shall call me blessed” (same verb in LXX and NT, μακαρίζω). This prophecy has to be verified in *every generation* by necessity. It was verified in Antiquity, in the Middle Ages, it is today, and will be tomorrow. Everybody should in fact examine how are they concerned with this prophecy; if it’s fulfilled in them and among them. Honoring the queen, of course, in no way detracts from the king, to the contrary. See Psalm 44 (45) about the king and the queen. To the queen it is said (verse 12): “even the rich among the people shall entreat thy favor.” Does this detract from the king? Of course not.

Protestants do with the "Queen of Heaven" what atheists do with Horus. Find a single similarity between stories and throw out the Christian one. Why? Why would a Christian (Protestant) do this? Not only that, they assume instead it's the pagan who is copying the Christian, it's the Christian copying the pagan. Again, why? For a Protestant this is flat out strange. If a Protestant found a god named Jesus in some pagan religion, should they so quickly reject Jesus, the Son of God? Of course they wouldn't. It's frankly an elementary argument that has been refuted time and time again. The reason it keeps coming up is because Protestants MUST reject anything that sounds Catholic...even if it has been proven true.

Has this something to do with veneration of Mary? Because if it is, I don't get it. Because according to the video title it is about "angels" and "demons". And if an angel in the proper position could just redirect the honor, to God why does the Angel in Revelation 22:8-9 deny worship? Couldn't he then just carry the words to God? Or is John somehow placed in the role of some in the divine council and is therefore already equal to the Angel and would thus fall to the feet of an equal?

Compare that with Mandarin, which very simply translates it as “Tao of God”. “Word of God” is SO lame compared to that, like comparing a mountain and a hill.

Mary accused Jesus of being 'out of his mind' or 'besides himself' meaning 'possessed' and she took her other sons, the younger brothers of Jesus, to lure him out of a house so she could 'take charge of him'. Jesus was in his early 30's and supposedly Mary believed or knew he was the messiah. Yet she declares him out of his mind and seeks to essentially have him committed or what in the modern world would be called to have a 'conservatorship' over him. This clear lack of faith in Jesus on Mary's part is never addressed and Christianity just proceeds to 'assuming' Mary always had faith and did the will of God. Just as they do with John the Baptist. There are two examples where Jesus rebuked his mother. First calling her 'woman', which people do when they are angry with someone. Next is contrasting her with people who love her by saying 'who is my mother and who are my brothers? Those who love me are . . . ' clearly indicating that she was not faithful and did not love him but instead was embarrassed and ashamed of his behavour. Setting someone up as a saint who is not a saint is a form of idol worship is it not? It is projecting onto someone that which they do not merit.

From an Orthodox perspective, that's why the so-called Marian apparitions directed to the "immaculate heart of Mary" are not true, because: one, it's related to heresy (immaculate conception); two, they focus and direct too much to Mary herself, not to Christ. The apparitions of the Theotokos in Orthodoxy, when it happens, is to direct towards Christ or to fulfill and exercise His Will, as the Queen She is also. Just like the Angels appear to men, so the Saints do (which are now like the Angels). But even Satan himself appears as an angel of light (according to Saint Paul), so too the Saints can be the Devil desguised.

Here are some problems with the statement: first we don't worship marys heart rather it is love for the heart which loves God. Often in scripture the heart of Mary is addressed as the place she contemplated the mystery of Christ, in mystical tradition it is seat of God who unite to us in divinization. My praising this heart we do praise the God who resides in heart of mary which she contemplate and the heart becomes our model on how to direct our on hearts towards God.

Pageau is completely wrong here. Women are not to pray with their heads uncovered - they approach God through the man. This is part of the order as established at the Curse. Religious traditions almost universally serve to block our way to spiritual truth - they are like the flaming sword in the Garden. Men are not to venerate DOWN the hierarchy. Just because Mary was the mother of Jesus, doesn't give her a different place in God's order. And giving her that place, also gives women a symbol for them to emulate that brings them out of order with God as well. It seems that the number one problem in the Christian church in the modern age is a failure to understand God's roles for men and women - because we are polluted with ideologies of equality.

Sure. With one true God at the top. Which would mean, that Christianity is Monotheistic and Polytheistic at the same time. But, traditionally it's considered monotheistic, because despite it's structure, functionally, it has one deity at the top of the ladder.

@@Wolf-Spirit_Alpha-Sigma We are actually henotheists. Many gods, but only one true God. Of course, we nowadays say "spirits" instead of gods, but it's still the same thing.

@@MRresoMC Wow, I suspected there may be a term for what I intuitively thought was right. It now makes even more sense. Thanks for the information. Still, I wonder why Christianity is commonly referred to as being monotheistic. Is it a mistake? And another thing, which religion is 'truly' monotheistic? Islam? Judaism? Personally, it's been always hard for me to accept that there are no other spirits apart from the Holy Trinity, which is actually still one God. That's what I've been taught all of my life (I'm a Catholic). It feels so wrong to me to believe in spirits, and yet the way Johnathan explains it, it would totally make sense to distinguish any number of spiritual entities and even pray to them, if they are not fallen spirits. Of course, not forgetting that God is the King of all creation.

@@Wolf-Spirit_Alpha-Sigma Islam has pure spirits, either virtuous, evil or "neutral" jinns. But then again, Allah is not our God, so they're wrong on the hierarchy, unfortunately. I really recommend you to listen to the Lord of Spirits podcast. They talk about how Judaism had even more persons in what we now call the Holy Trinity at some point. I always pray to spirits, usually my guardian angel, to the Holy Virgin Mary and my local favorites Cyril and Methodius. It's just always important to pray that they pray to God on your behalf, as they're saints. We should never pray to saints themselves. God bless!

@@MRresoMC God bless. I'll check the podcast you mentioned. I used to have a deep connection with one saint in particular, Jeanne d'Arc. It lead me to many spiritual and religious moments. But these feelings were so intense, that I felt like I was loosing my mind. I think I overdid it or did something wrong. This time, I'm trying to understand more about faith and the spiritual/symbolic world, so that I won't get so lost again. I think that my church (Saint John's Roman Catholic) really gave me some twisted form of religion when I was a child. And now as an adult I have a lot of concepts wrong. Or maybe my mind is just twisted and possesed. Sorry for the rambling and thank you for some enlightment.

@@creator.season3714 That is your biased opinion and do not keep the narrative. You could look for Jesus and the Jewish roots of Mary refuting your argument. First of all because she is Christ mother not his Bride. Secondly all the characters are specific persons, the devil, Christ, the Michael and... Mary! Third the instructions links the figure to the arc of the covenant, who contained the mana? Who is the mana? Christ so the ultimate container of Christ was his mother. Finally gather the facts: Is a woman, is in heaven, she has a crown and is the mother of the King, who in the Jewish tradition is the queen...

A Queen is the wife of the King. She is not a subordinate but a faithful PARTNER. This is not Mary, she is not Gods wife, she is not and never was a Queen. Mary was the material, bodily mother of Jesus. The chosen womb of the chosen saviour of humaniry. To carry the child who God would inhabit by His Spirit and reveal Himself to His creation.
