Let's be proud of Canada's resource riches, says former TMX boss

The expansion of the Trans Mountain pipeline may not be the last oil pipeline to be built in Canada, if the country’s politicians accept that it is okay to develop resources responsibly for the world, said Ian Anderson, the company's long-time chief executive.
“Are we going to consume fewer fossil fuels as we age? I hope so. I hope we make that transition but it’s going to take decades to get there. In the meantime, let’s be proud of the riches we have,” he said.

I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with your guest. This project IS an absolute EMBARRASSMENT to Canada 🇨🇦. FOURTEEN YEARS to build a pipeline?? SEVEN TIMES the amount over budget?? Government vs private? Canadians paid SEVEN TIMES over the original $5.7 billion dollars estimated budget? This was a disaster BECAUSE of Turd and his anti-resource/anti-economic ideology! Exactly. Propping up Bombardier to compete against Boeing and Airbus didn't work. And now giving away billions to EV makers won't work either. Canada is not even in the top 10 of auto making countries anymore. So it's time for Canada to re embrace what it can do well, and succeed at....resources.
