I've never watched He-Man, but considering the dialogue, Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged would be as close as I'll ever get. All the nyehs remind me of Joey Wheeler, who has a Brooklyn accent. Ironically, that series DOES have a character that is supposed to have a voice similar to Skeletor (Marik), but Marik doesn't say nyeh, so that option is out.

the game does kind of make it really obvious from the beginning. even if you attack the frog you first encounter, Toriel scares it away before you can kill it, usually. as long as you're the kind of person who likes to interact with everything and read all the text, the game just flat out tells you to go mercy.

It was just absolutely incredible how quickly and easily Therm picked up on the story and lore of the game! Especially the Mettaton lore and the Dreemurr family storyline! It was so much fun to see Therm enjoy this amazing game, as his joy and humor is truly unparalleled. Edit: I also wonder if perhaps he'd enjoy Deltarune?

lemme clear something up, flowey and asriel are quite literally the *same* person one hundred percent. he knows asgore and toriel arent together anymore because he *is* flowey. asriel just cant feel compassion when he's a flower because he doesn't have a soul, and that's why he went insane. you're completely right about his dust coming in contact with the determination flower and thats why he came back to life. also, I loved your comment about how his attacks are like something a kid named. that's because asriel named them! theres a running gag that all the dreemurrs are terrible at naming things, hence why asriels name is literally a combination between asgore and toriel. its also why asriel made up the name flowey for himself while he was a flower when he wanted to hide his identity. truly ingeniously clever naming skills. asriel/flowey actually says a few things about himself when he first became a flower that you might find interesting... buuut its only in the genocide route, so your call!

I think Flowey is a reincarnation of Asriel. The science doesn’t really make sense either way. Flowey shouldn’t be able to have Asriel’s memories, but flowers don’t have brains anyway, so maybe (DEFINITELY) I might be (ABSOLUTELY AM) looking to far into it.

⁠@@NeptuneEnergThey use magic to fuse the souls. It’s why deep in the lab you find the white creatures (algamations?). They were trying the best fused with an alternative to human souls but everytime it failed. Asriel is one of the first experiments I believe when he passes away because he’s still fused to Chara. Or it’s something along the lines of since chara died on the yellow gold flowers Asriel becomes the flowers? I’m trying to remember as it’s been years but it’s explained somewhere in the game lord that it’s not a reincarnation though it being a pun on “carnations” since he came back as a flower would be funny tbh LMFAO Again it’s been years so take my words with a grain of salt Edit: so the dust that fell on the flowers became flowy because it attached to the flower and it is also mentioned by alphys and hidden deep in the lab she had more flowers she had tested on too which made flowey. She didn’t intentionally try and make flowey it happened without trying that’s why she put it back into the garden. I forgot they mention the dust landing on the flowers till later in the video

Mettaton and Napstablook are related. Asriel's motive was that he was stuck as a soulless flower and he became numb after endless resets and years stuck as a flower and then you come along and steal his power to reset becoming the strongest being in the underground which intimidated Flowey while Asriel is just shot down into the abyss of his nonsoul. There's a secret boss Therms, like three I think depending on the console.

i still have my undertale save from 2017, i did one pacifist playthrough and never touched it again so that the characters could continue to live their happily ever after. it was wonderful being able to relive all of those memories with this playthrough. also, therm is incredibly good at connecting plot points together.

I think a big point of the game, which mr. Therm articulated perfectly, is that the genocide run means taking all of this away from the characters you love. Undertale argued that it is always a choice to be kind. Resisting the temptation to do a genocide run, in my opinion, is understanding what the game is asking you

I am 5 minutes in, and I’m getting the impression that Toby Fox must be a similar person to you. Giving Flowey a southern accent felt so much more fitting than any other voice I’ve heard. Surprised nobody I’ve watched tried it before with the “howdy”, but it’s so fitting that I can’t imagine him sounding any different even after just that short interaction. He explained in his first stream that he had played Undertale wayy back, but he never got past the very start of the game. I'm having SUCH a blast watching this video, currently at 34:00 by one of Papyrus' puzzles. When I played Undertale, a couple of years ago, I really didn't get the hype. undertale was the first piece of media i really became a fan of as a kid and since then, i have never seen anybody genuinely connect with it as much as therm did on a blind playthrough; either they missed a ton of queues and didn’t engage a lot when it came out, or their experience was spoiled by the fandom/meme culture. loved seeing you play live in the first stream! 2:58:32 imo this is toby fox's goofiest creation

Undertale is an odd game. 45% is the pacifist route, 45% is the genocide route, and 10% are all the little secrets that can only be noticed after dying a few times or starting the game over after doing certain things. Easily one of my favorite games of all time.

I love how fast he figured out all the puzzles(overworld and sparing) and the lore. This game seems like it was made for therms, he breezed through it.
