If you switch the letters around, Deltarune spells Undertale. So, it makes sense for it being an alternate universe or timeline.

The things that really get me are that the Dark World has some subtle parallels to monsters living underground in Undertale, but from the lens of someone who didn't fully understand why (like a child who was born after the monsters were trapped), and that Deltarune is also the name of the prophecy in Undertale describing how the monsters would be freed. I think this is the world where Chara and Asriel freed the monsters, and the Dark World is based around how Asriel remembers those events.

Its music. I wish I was joking. By niw every chapter is probably done but I forget when it was but Toby said the reason its taking so long to release chapters is because of hiw long it takes for him to make the music since im pretty sure hes doing it all solo.

@@havoc3017 At least for Chapter 3, that's not fully the case. Fox said that they had "finally" started creating the final overworld area for Chapter 3 in his newsletter, which I imagine would take a while. He also mentioned that some polishing and fixing would be needed. For Chapters 4 and 5, there are people working on some smaller things, like puzzles and bullet patterns, but Deltarune's main focus at the moment is Chapter 3.

@@havoc3017 He said in the Status Update 2020 that he had already had concepts for 95% of the music of all chapters after 2 and completed versions of 50%. He also mentioned in the latest newsletter that the song for the final area of Chapter 3 was written in 2016. Music is not the bottleneck here.

@@weirdreapr His wrist was an issue that was mentioned back in september of 2020, though it seems that by now he's overcome most of his difficulties with it. There's no big overarching problem at this point, there's no bottleneck; it's just that making big games takes a lot of time.

you may have accidentally hurt an enemy with susie and gotten a non pacifist run 😢 if she hurts an enemy after the checker enemy and causes it to run away, you get the ending you described

I'm pretty sure Ralsei can exist in other dark worlds because he's a Prince made of pure darkness. People from other dark worlds can live in our Town because of the pure darkness fountain, remember? So I think Ralsei can enter other dark worlds because he's made of pure darkness.

Deltarune happens before Undertale, but they might be completely different universes. Deltarune was made up before Undertale, but Undertale was released/created first. (spoilers) Idk if anyone told him yet, I’m not through the video yet, but I suggest Therm tries the Snowgrave route in Chapter 2. It’s honestly really cool.
