Perhaps throw out a Spade after you win the Heart trick to encourage partner to lead through spades

That might work, thanks for the suggestion! I guess we’d need to have the right defence agreement with partner about discards. Defence is hard, isn’t it?

It’s not such a great slam. Hearts break 3-3 and spades break 3-2 with the spade finesse working. Game is fine. 😁
